Sometimes God answers the 'how long until' question with a chronological period of time, as He did with Jeremiah and Daniel. Other times, God answers with indicators or signs, as Jesus did with the question of the temple's destruction. It may be Spring on March 20th, but it is not really Spring until you see the first robin, first green grass, first dandelion, first loon, and swat the first mosquito! One of the signs the temple was going to come down was the proliferation of false christs.
