What do we have to offer God?
Today, I want to talk to you about the importance of giving Jesus everything we've got. As Kingdom people, we are called to live a life of surrender and devotion to our Lord and Savior. It is easy to get caught up in the busyness of our daily lives and forget that everything we have is a gift from God. Therefore, it is our duty to give it back to Him with a heart full of gratitude.
As we go through life, we often face challenges and difficulties that leave us feeling empty and depleted. Sometimes, we may feel like we have nothing to offer. But even in these moments of emptiness, we must remember that everything we have belongs to Jesus. We must surrender our emptiness to Him and allow Him to fill us with His grace and love.
In Matthew 16:24-25, Jesus says, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it." This verse reminds us that true discipleship requires sacrifice and a willingness to give everything we have to Jesus.
Giving Jesus everything we've got is crucial to our walk with God and our relationship with God. As Kingdom people, we know that God created us and everything we have is a gift from Him. Therefore, it is our responsibility to offer all that we have back to Him as an act of worship and surrender.
Giving Jesus everything we've got is a sign of our trust in Him. It shows that we believe that God has a plan for our lives, and we are willing to follow that plan, no matter where it leads us. It also demonstrates our faith that God will provide for us and take care of us, even in our times of need. When we surrender our lives to Him, we allow Him to transform us into the people He created us to be. It helps us to become more Christlike, and to live a life that is pleasing to God.
In Matthew 22:37, Jesus says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This verse reminds us that our relationship with God should be one of complete devotion and commitment. It also teaches us that loving God with everything we've got is the greatest commandment.
For some of us we don’t have money, we think we don’t have anything to offer Jesus and when worship is all we've got, we must offer it to Jesus with all our hearts.
What does Worship mean to you? To worship Jesus means to show reverence, adoration, and honor to Him. As Christians, we worship Jesus because we believe that He is the Son of God, and we owe Him our love, gratitude, and devotion. Worship is not just singing songs or attending church services, but a lifestyle that reflects our relationship with Jesus. Our worship should not be a mere formality or obligation, but a sincere expression of our love and devotion to God. In John 4:23-24, Jesus says, "But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." This means that our worship must come from the depths of our hearts, and we must worship God with sincerity and authenticity.
Close out—Giving Jesus everything we've got is not just a duty, but a privilege. We must surrender our lives to Him and allow Him to fill us with His grace and love. Even when we feel empty, we must remember that everything we have belongs to Jesus, and we must offer it to Him with a heart full of gratitude. When worship is all we've got, we must worship Him in spirit and truth. May we all strive to give Jesus everything we've got and live a life of surrender and devotion to our Lord and Savior.
