God Provides a way out

1 kings 17:2-6 “And the word of the Lord came to him: “Depart from here and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” So he went and did according to the word of the Lord. He went and lived by the brook Cherith that is east of the Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.”

God is Omniscient

1 John 3:20 “for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.”
after Elijah told the king about the drought God immediately tells Elijah to go into hiding. God knew what would happen to Elijah and sent Elijah into hiding.

Gods Timing

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
we are in such a hurry to see change in the world around us. Constantly rushing God to fix all of the problems around us. God has a plan and that plan may take time. He isn’t being slow, He is just patiently waiting for humans to repent.

He protects against the world

Deuteronomy 31:8 “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.””
God is looking out for us to protect us from the world around us. He is a loving God that will never abandon us, but will always remain by our side even when it feels like the entire world is against us.

He protects from temptations

1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
This promise is not just for worldly threats, but also for spiritual threats. A lot of the time we do not have to fear for our physical safety but our spiritual safety. We are under constant temptation, but God always provides a way of escape. He provides shelter when we feel as though we are not strong enough to say no, God is.
