She had left the promised land and
was coming back to the place she needed to be
When we do what is wrong,
We Should return to the Ways of the Lord our God
By Repenting of and forsaking Sin
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
‘Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.

Naomi told her Daughters-in-law to return to their homes
there was much trouble ahead of her
At first, Orpah was going to faithfully follow Naomi
Finally however she retreated to her old way of life.
Many people make pseudo-professions of Faith
or commitment and then retreat from them
To their old way of life when the road gets ruff
Matt. 13:5-6
“Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. “But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

She became the Great Grandmother to David
Ruth 4:13-17
So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife, and he went in to her. And the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. Then the women said to Naomi, “Blessed is the Lord who has not left you without a redeemer today, and may his name become famous in Israel. “May he also be to you a restorer of life and a sustainer of your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.” Then Naomi took the child and laid him in her lap, and became his nurse. The neighbor women gave him a name, saying, “A son has been born to Naomi!” So they named him Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
