1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Mercies of God
Jesus compared to me
Him in my Place
God see jesus when he looks at me
Living Sacrifice
what is a sacrifice?
Dead to me: Gal 2:20
This is proper worship = all in for Jesus
Do not conform
We are not of this world, we are citizens of God’s Kingdom.
our lives should look different than the culture of the world
we like to have as much of the world as we can without “crossing the line”
Renew your mind
our minds are impacted by what we see and hear
We have to change the way we think, we need a new funnel
We need to be mindful of what goes into our minds
Here are few ways of thought that my wife and i have thrown out to better help us live with a kingdom perspective
Don’t be FAKE
how are you..... i’m good....
When did we get to the point of not being honest?
church is a family where people should be real
Sunday best mentality is out
There is a difference in wanting God to have your best verse concealing how you really feel with other believers
Bear one another’s burdens
Right perspective of Church
we don’t go to church… we are the church.
this building is not God’s house… our bodies are a temple of God ( eph 2:22; 1 cor 6:19-20)
The will of God
Has anyone ever asked themselves what is the will of God for my life?
There is a lot of different ways to look at God’s will for your life but i want to try to simplify it.
1 Thessalonians 4:3 (ESV)
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification:
God’s will for you is that you become more holy, enjoy him, represent him well, and tell others about him.
