Proverbs 3:1–13 KJV 1900

1 My son, forget not my law; But let thine heart keep my commandments: 2 For length of days, and long life, And peace, shall they add to thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: Bind them about thy neck; Write them upon the table of thine heart: 4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding In the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, And marrow to thy bones. 9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, And with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, And thy presses shall burst out with new wine. 11 My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; Neither be weary of his correction: 12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. 13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, And the man that getteth understanding.

Proverbs 3:5–6 ESV

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Made to Move with Him

Adam and Eve

Created to be in relationship and harmony with God.

Made in “the image” of God.

The snake crept in and tried to change what we are supposed to be.

“You’re not supposed to walk with God. He’s lied to you. You can do better on your own. I know what He’s told you, but I’ll tell you what you need to do.”

I know it’s cliche, but it’s a truth to bind about your neck: THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!

But God had set it all right at the beginning before humanity messed it up: He just simply wanted men and women to walk with Him!

Genesis 6:9 KJV 1900

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Genesis 5:24 KJV 1900

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Micah 6:8 KJV 1900

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; And what doth the Lord require of thee, But to do justly, and to love mercy, And to walk humbly with thy God?

Sometimes, we make living for God MUCH more complicated than it is!

I’m meant to MOVE WITH God!

I’m not meant to be perfect!

But I am meant to talk to Him daily and grow in Him a little bit daily!

I’m not meant to have everything together all of the time! I’m not meant to check off all the boxes other people do! I’m not meant to

Things distract.

The Anglerfish

I don’t know what comes into your mind when you see that thing, but I think: “That dude got hit with the ugly stick!” Also, “Come out of the fish, you demon!”

The Anglerfish will use that attractive, bright light to draw in smaller fish. They are doing what they’re supposed to. They have eyes that are made to see well down there. But the minute this Anglerfish comes into the picture, and that light comes into view, it’s like they’ve been captured - literally!

And here’s what’s powerful… we’re not just moving with God - He’s moving with us!

Moses talking to God, right after the golden calf had been destroyed:

Exodus 33:13–17 NIV

If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.” The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”

“God, I’m not moving, unless you’re moving with me!!!”

“Because what else distinguishes your people from the rest of the world? THAT YOU GO WITH US!!!”

It can be seen as evident in our life that we have THE REAL THING! BECAUSE IT’S CLEAR: GOD IS MOVING WITH US!!!

Let me help someone who may be facing a trial or a testing today: YOU JUST THOUGHT YOU WERE ALONE!!!

I tried to tell you Wednesday night, when God “sees” He is not just a spectator - He “SEES TO IT!” HE’S INVOLVED!

He told Moses, every step of the way, “I’m gonna deal with this obstacle in your way!”

You know, we’ll let an obstacle become a stumbling block sometimes. What was merely another opportunity for God to work, we’ll let it take our mind captive and become paralyzed.

But Moses stretched out the rod… and the sea had to open up!!!

When you move with God, NOTHING CAN STOP YOU! … NOTHING CAN BLOCK YOU!!!

WHEN YOU MOOOOOVE!!!

Conclusion

I’m gonna finish right here!

But somebody in here… the enemy wants you to sit on your hands! He wants you in the CORNER! In the fetal position! He wants you discouraged! Disillusioned and disgusted!

But I hear God telling you like He told Israel! At the walls of Jericho! The wall hadn’t even cracked! BUT, YOU SHOUT, AND I’LL MAKE THE WALL FALL!!!

SHOUT, I’LL GIVE YOU THE VICTORY! SHOUT, I’LL MAKE A WAY!
