Introduction

Welcome everyone, were currently in a series where were teaching important implications of salvation, the word salvation simply means to be resurced from danger and brought to safety both pysically or spiritually.
We have examples in the old testament like when God Saves Noah, God Saves Isreal from there oppressers. In the New testament salvation is brought through Jesus christ who shed his blood on the cross for our sins and rose the thrid day. This has major implications for belivers in jesus dealth and resurrection.
Justifaction
God Devlares us righteous by faith because were in Christ.
2. Spiritual Adopted
God adopts us as his childern and we belong to Gods Family because of the work Jesus did on our behalf.
3. Saintifaction
The proccess where his making his childern holy like his holy. This is the proccess all is childern msut go through.

Transition

This week, we will unpack one of my favorite implications and blessing of salvation. Glorifaction and this term can be defined as when God salvation of restoring our bodes and creation and is both started and completed when Jesus christ Returns.

The Glory of Adam & Eve

The Word Glory in hebrew means heavy or weight. The idea is somethings or somones importantance and as a verb its some make someone of something heavy or important.
We use simillar language in english when we say that matters. Its a way of cummunicated the value and importance of something.
The first time were we get introduced to the glory of someone is in genesis. Look at how david describes the beginning chapters of genesis.
Psalm 8:1–9 (NIV)
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
in the heavens.
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
David desrcibes Gods Glory its refelcted in his creation because it reveals his power and mighty and wisdom.
David describles Humanitys Glory, he says you crowned them with glory and honour.
David is say Glory is shared with humanity. David says God crowned them with Glory and Honour
What David is saying is adam and eve with kings and queens of creation and he called them to steward it and cultivate it so that everything with fruitful and multplied.
God is king in heaven and we were his royal family on earth.
1 Peter 2:9 NIV
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
The image of God langauge in the near eastern culture was never given to every day citizens it was only given to kings and emperiors.
the word image means idol, idols served as something that reflected a deity.
The bible says humanity was made in the image and likeness of God, The bible is saying you shared in his royal status and calling to be his representatives on earth.

Transition

The narrative tells us they sinned and they were removed from the garden. Because of adam and eves sin dealth entered the world and say paul would later say it we fall short of the glory of God.

Falling Short of his Glory

Humanity was still Gods image and repressentatives but dealth as entered the world and the creation is cursed because of them and they are not reflecting Gods image and likeness well becuase they are now romaved from his presence.
Romans 3:23 NIV
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Paul in the letter of romans makes it clear that we arent what God intended for us to be in the present world. He points out that were moral corrupted and our bodies are corrupted and creation is corrupted and he points out this isnt wasnt God intentions.
Romans 8:22–23 NIV
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

Transition

God sent his only son and he died for our sins and rose the third day and he rose in glory and pauls makes clear when we place our trust in jesus dealth and resurrection we know and share in that same hope of aslo resurecting and creation going to become restored to glory.

The restoration of Creation and Humanity Glory

These bodies are raised in Glory
1 Corinthians 15:42–44 NIV
So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
Spiritual doesnt mean non material but spiritual means one that fully yeilded to the spirits will.
The apostle paul claims this will happen when christ returns in his second coming.
1 Corinthians 15:20–23 NIV
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.
We arent the only ones waiting but creation is also waiting for his blessed hope.
Romans 8:19–20 NIV
For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope
This isnt just a future were waiting for but paul say the day you accepted christ God has been glorifiing you to become like the image of his son and the fulliness of the glory is when christ returns but we can participate in share his glory now by the power of his spirit renewing us inwardly.
Were are being restored in his glory now
2 Corinthians 3:17–18 NIV
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
.

The Implication

Your identity
Your a son and daughter of a king, you were designed for royality. Doesnt matter your circumstances you need to know your identity. Consider Jesus king of heaven but came down to on earth as a babies. He knew where he came from, his circumstances didnt determine his identity
Trusting the Hope
Does your understanding of salvation include such promises, have you placed your hope in God to share with you his glory when he returns and restores all things. He will restore you body that groaning and creation. That this is part of the gift package of salvation for those who trust in jesus christ and place there hope in his promises.
Your Participate in the Glorifaction
The apostle paul say clearly we can share in his glory now as we complatemple the glory of God. As you pinder and think about your heavenly father he will reveal things about himslef and mold you to act and think like a son or daughter of a king.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
