God loved us He gave us His perfect son as a sacrifice. Love isn't just a word but an action and a way of being is is the way the body needs to start functioning from for the Kingdom of God.

LOVE

Love is patient, kind, envy free, but most importantly it moves. Love does not, it cannot stay still. Look back to the beginning of time in Genesis when the first prophecy of Jesus was written. God had the plan to move with love to change the world and I believe He wants to do the same in this generation and in our everyday lives.
John 1:5 NASB95
The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Often we overlook our past lives and the dead, carnal version of ourselves because we’re so used to feeling pure. To feeling righteous. In Philippians Paul tells us that Christ didn’t even look at Himself with any sort of superiority. The Savior of the world become a humble servant because of what? Love. If God Himself can sacrifice His holiness to come down to this broken ratchet earth in the name of love than we surely can take the speck out of our own eye and love the world that doesn’t look like us or behave in ways we agree with.
Surrender Psalm 63:3
Psalm 63:3 NASB95
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You.
Walking in the will of the Father is to be walking in His love. There’s nothing more peaceful and nothing more pleasant. But when you do so, you also walk in places that you wouldn’t expect. You may call that friend that is usually backhanded and snarky and give her some encouragement, you may listen an extra ten minutes to your mom in the car even though your tired and just want to listen to some music. The point is love is the root of change for a believers walk. Fear is awesome, wisdom is to be cherished, but love, motivates all and breaks every chain.
1 John 4:9–10 NASB95
By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
If the Holy Spirit lives in us, HOW are we not CRAVING the salvation of the lost? How are we not desperate for His approval and itching to get out and share the Good News.
Hebrews 2:18 NASB95
For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
Some may use the excuse of being scared to suffer since the world hate us and the world is a scary place to evangelize in now. The Spirit of God tells us to fear Him and His opinion, not any human. He suffered for us and suffers with us and tells us to count it as joy. Suffering is inevitable but eternal reap of joy because of that suffering is the difference between the suffer of the world and the suffer for Christ. And He is more than worthy of it all.
Philippians 1:20 NASB95
according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
Paul told us in Philippians to hold ourselves accountable according to his gospel, meaning Paul lived a pretty connected life to the Spirit of God, so much, the Holy Spirit encouraged His future Kingdom to see Paul as a great example. To be a good and faithful servant is to throw the flesh out the door regardless of how it feels, because Gods burning desire to change the world will meet you there if you do surrender and He will give you the boldness needed to run the race and fight the good fight.
Mark 6:30 NASB95
The apostles gathered together with Jesus; and they reported to Him all that they had done and taught.
If you were to sit around a campfire with Jesus, could you righteously boast about your good deeds? Could you rant about your exciting ministry work?
James 4:10 NASB95
Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
If we took the time to really understand the spiritual laziness the body of Christ is in, we would have the approval of Christ to continue the good work, the right way. He wants surrender and He wants us to see that living for ourselves is to live a selfish, carnal existence. One that lacks substance and true joy.
John 15:1–7 NASB95
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
How do we humble ourselves? How do we make things right and how are we to live in the way He desires?
CONNECTION
Zechariah 4:10 NASB95
“For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven will be glad when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel—these are the eyes of the Lord which range to and fro throughout the earth.”
Don’t condemn yourself! Grace is yours to receive and mercy is new every morning. His Spirit, not our strength. He rejoices in the littlest of progress. We will do this and be the body of God He deserves. Amen.
