Intro
Intro
in your life there will be people that are different than you
how are you going to deal with that
Weakness and Strength
Weakness and Strength
Paul outlines two groups with different beliefs within the church in Rome
they are at odds because both sides believe they are right
kind of like most adults in America today
Causing to Stumble
Causing to Stumble
do not for the sake of meat destroy the kingdom
do not for the sake of yourself hurt someone else
love them as your self and treat them as above you
if we could all be a little more humble, no one would ever get in anyone else’s way
our pursuit is not our selves, but what makes for peace and harmony
We Who Are Strong
We Who Are Strong
Paul at the end makes the parable of the good Samaritan example
He calls neither group the strong one or the weak one in any and everything
are they strong who don’t take the meat or strong who do? or vice versa
it doesn’t matter
you be the bigger person in every matter that comes your way
please your neighbor not yourself
get it out of you and your thoughts are better and matter more than other people
all of that so that we might glorify God together in harmony
Application
Application
one side says the other is weak because they are not accepting of the things they think are important and vice versa
Some people are not going to be like you
they will not think like you or act like you or live like you
they will not do what you think people ought to do and be
however, we are still called to love them and try to get them to heaven and to do treat them any other way is wrong
