Introduction

I want to say happy Father’s Day to all the fathers. I am probably what some may consider an anomaly. A 42 year old man with no kids, but I am an 11 time f-uncle. Not only am I fun but I am also an uncle.
There’s a clear distinction between what I do and what a father does. I get to pickup my nieces and nephews and drop them off after I’m tired. I don’t have to discipline them. I get to spoil them and leave them wondering why their parents can’t be as cool as me.
I do pray one day to be a dad, I mean I don’t want be 100 years old like Abraham, where God will have to raise my whole situation back to life in order for me to father children. You’re probably saying well Chris you’re on the clock. SO I won’t be giving this message from the perspective of a father, but from someone who has been fathered.
We look at the childhood of David who in Psalms 69 gives a rundown of what his life was like
