How to make a New life
How to make a New life
Key passage, Jeremiah 29:7 “7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.”
We are to pray for the peace of the place where we dwell.
1 Tim 2.1-6 “1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”
This is good and acceptable.
Who will have all me be saved. That we must be a light wherever the Lord may have us to be.
Now, what is supplication, prayers, intercessions and giving thanks.
Supplication simply means to ask of God those things which you need.
The supplication is done through prayer, which is direct communication to God.
Heb 4.16 “16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
