I want you to picture Abraham and Sarah wanting to have a baby. They could not have one for how long: Like 100 years. And finally the day had come. do you think they were excited? YES. Do you think life was about to change like never before? YES

As I think about this merge and all we have been discussing trying to answer questions isn't this what we are talking about.

New life is awesome. If this merger happens, I can promise you that it will be awesome. Now with that being said, there will be some dirty diapers. There will be some adjustments, but remember Abraham. Heather and I got pregnant two months into our marriage. I came home and Heather threw up for 7 months straight.

But I would not change a thing.

I wanted to address some of the questions that Robert brought to our attention and we also wanted some people to share from our church so you could get to know us and to know our heart.

Schedule

When we talk about not having a service at first it is easy to freak out and be like so what we are not meeting. That is the furthest thing from the truth. If you will embrace this season what I can guarantee is that it will be a time of growth like you have never had before.

Here is what I want to say about these meetings. First and foremost it is like training camp. Right now the NBA finals are going on and the best teams in the world are playing. But there season did not start in May they started all the way back in the Fall. The reason that they started back in the fall was so that they wold be ready to battle so that they could win an NBA championship. Those preseason workouts actually helped prepare them for this moment. We need a good preseason.

Golden state warriors they never got over that. We never trusted each other.

One of the greatest reasons we need a preseason is so that we can get to know each other. Because when this happens we are family.

But one of the other reasons that this is so important is because we want to help you have tools so that you can help other people do this. Whether it is one of your kids, grandkids, a neighbor we want you to be equipped.

Before I answer that I want to say a few things. First and foremost no matter what church you go to, ultimately your tithe and offering is to God. Now practically you would be giving it to RCC. But it would be just like you do here. For those who give weekly, monthly however each week when you come you would give it to RCC.

One of my good friends became a part of a church that had 20 people. They had a business meeting and in this business meeting they voted on if they could change a light bulb.

You here this and you think Nate is not going to be accountable.

-Accountability-But the reality is there is plenty of accountability.

We have a management team that will be put in place for 2 years.

Robert is going to be serving on this team.

But this time will also be so that we can build up our own leadership structure.

OBDEDIENCE TO GOD IS VITAL

When Abraham had to decide if he was going to obey God or not he was probably not thinking of all the implications of his obedience. He was probably thinking, man can I do this. This seems impossible.

End it with the story of Abraham and they had this child of promise remember what God told Abraham.

Gen 12:2-3

The messiah would come through this man's line to bless the world. The world.

But before this vision was realized there had to become a death to his dream. God would ask Abraham to die. He would ask him to lay his so on the altar for his plan to fully be realized. Now in Abraham's mind

If Abraham would not been obedient and done that he would have missed out on those blessings, what a tragedy that would have been for him

Many times when God is calling us to be obedient we do not see how vital it is to those around us. Our obedience may be for someone we don’t even know, it may be for future generations and it may even be for our family.

WHAT IF YOUR OBDEDIENCE FOR THIS IS WAY BIGGER THAN YOU. WHAT IF IT IS FOR A YOUNG CHILD WHO LIVES RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET HERE WHO IS GOING TO HERE THE GOOD NEWS AND BE A DIFFERENCE MAKER FOR THE GOSPEL
