Past few weeks we have talked about Prayer - How to talk with God not to, We are new creations and last week we looked at what the Bible says about Finishing Strong.
Tonight I wanted to share something I read from my devotional that I think might be of encouragement to you.
From Devotional -
My Utmost for His Highest
(May 23rd—Careful Infidelity)
25 “Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Infidelity Defined -
a: the act or fact of having a romantic or sexual relationship with someone other than one's husband, wife, or partner
b: unfaithfulness to a moral obligation : DISLOYALTY
2 : lack of belief in a religion
Jesus sums up commonsense carefulness in a disciple as infidelity
1- Commonsense Carefulness
1- Commonsense Carefulness
Do I ever make choices based on commonsense and not on faith?
Do I ever hold back and over-think things, all in the name of being careful and wise when I should move forward in faith?
If we have received the Spirit of God, He will press through and say—‘Now where does God come in in this relationship, in this mapped-out holiday, in these new books?’
He always presses the point until we learn to make Him our first consideration.

2-Infidelity
Whenever we put other things first, there is confusion.
“Take no thought …”—don’t take the pressure of forethought upon yourself.
- Worry Is Infidelity To God
- Worry Is Infidelity To God
It is not only wrong to worry, it is infidelity, because worrying means that we do not think that God can look after the practical details of our lives, and it is never anything else that worries us.
- When we worry we say to God you can’t handle this.
- When we worry we say to God you can’t handle this.
- When we worry we say to God we don’t trust you.
- When we worry we say to God we don’t trust you.
Have you ever noticed what Jesus said would choke the word He puts in?
The devil?
No,
the cares of this world.
It is the little worries always.
22 Now the one sown among the thorns—this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
When we say
I will not trust where I cannot see, that is where infidelity begins.
