Introduction Story

"Lion" is a heart-wrenching and inspiring biographical drama based on the true story of Saroo Brierley. The film tells the remarkable journey of a young Indian boy named Saroo, who becomes separated from his family and ends up thousands of kilometers away from home.

The story begins in a small village in India, where Saroo, a five-year-old boy, gets lost after boarding an empty train. The train takes him to Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta), where he is unable to communicate his identity or hometown, eventually ending up in an orphanage. Saroo is then adopted by an Australian couple, Sue and John Brierley, who give him a loving home in Tasmania.

Years later, as a grown man, Saroo becomes haunted by memories of his past and his longing to reconnect with his birth family. Motivated by his desire to find them, he turns to technology and begins using Google Earth to search for landmarks he remembers from his childhood.

With relentless determination and the support of his adoptive family and friends, Saroo embarks on a virtual journey retracing his steps and searching for any clues that could lead him back to his hometown. After countless hours of searching, he finally locates his village using Google Earth and makes an emotional trip back to India to reunite with his biological mother and sister.

Transition

This story reminds us of something we all take for grant and somethings forgot how pericous it it to have a family becuase we are created for family.

God Desires a Spiritual Family & Teach

In the beginning, God want family. We see this in the title he gives adam, Adam is called the son of God and also means eve was a daughter of God.

Luke 3:38 NIV

the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

When God delivers isreal from the evil pharoah and brings them to the promised land. Look how God desribles the people of isreal.

The New International Version Chapter 11

When Israel was a child, I loved him,

and out of Egypt I called my son

God calls his people sons and daughters of God, its langauge of family. He loves them like parents love there childern. He protects them like a father protects his childern. he shows compassion like mother has compassion on her childern.

Transition

God wants all people to be in his family but we rejected him and we went our own way and got lost.

Story

I remember in my life a time, in the seond garde in elementary and i got lost? Who has gotten lost as a kid? It was the first time in my life were i was taking the school bus and i didnt know the how to speak english and i hopped on the bus and 30 minutes later. I have no idea where i am and i randomly get off the bus and i am lost and dont know where i am and dont know where i live and it was the most scary feeling because i thought i was never going to see my mother again. This random teenagers, knew me from the neighborhood and they asked me to follow them how creepy. I followed them and they brought me home weeping and crying. I saw my mother and the joy i felt and peace.

Transition

My mother probably gave me clear instructions on what to not do and did i listen proabably not. I got lost and in the same way huamnity didnt listen to there father and went there own way and they got lost. God sent his son who was like the random teenager was was going to show me the way back to my mother. Jesus says the only way you will have accesss and know your heavenly father is through me.

Jesus restores the Family & Teach

Jesus paid for our Adoption

John 1:10–13 NIV

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

Ephesians 1:5–6 NIV

he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

He die on the cross and rose the third day and whoever trust in him becomes the true childern of God.

Gods childern arent those of born biological but ones born spiritually when they trust Jesus.

Romans 8:15–16 NIV

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

When you trust in jesus you recieve his holy spirit which reminds us we are childern of God

Jesus shows us what our Father is Like.

John 14:5–11 NIV

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.

Story

In the movie lion king, you see that the young simba is a refelct of his father mufasa

1. Physical appearance

2. They both good rulers who want to do whats best for the animal kingdom

3. They share sacifical love were they both sacrifee for the greater good

Transition

In the same way you can say when i look at simba i see mufasa because they share simillair characteristics, in the same way jesus and his heavenly father shared similliar charcteristics and when you see jesus you see what the father is like.

Prayer

If you want to be part of Gods family you have to trust in Jesus.

God remind we are Gods childern and that was Gods Gift to us

we want God to reveal himself as a father or mother reveals themselfs
