Words of Life

explain the importance of words.

Matthew 12:36 “I tell you that on the day of judgment people will have to account for every careless word they speak.”

James 1:19 “My dearly loved brothers, understand this: Everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger,”

It is easy to get to a place where we neglect the value and effect of our words.

Words can heal in two different ways.

James 5:16 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The urgent request of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.”

To one another, not to God

2. Psalms 107:20 “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

His word will heal you and deliver you.

As this became real and true to me I began to view and value the written word of God differently.

Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.”

Matt 4:4 “But he answered, “It is written, “ ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ””

My purpose and idenity is spoken to me from God.

Deuteronomy 8:3 “And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.”

Words Created everything Gen.

Words made you a new creation

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Proverb 18:21 “Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

Eating the fruit of it? If you love to speak life youll eat its fruit, if you love to speak negatively youll eat the fruit of it.

you can speak life into others and into your own situations. What do you mean by this?

Mark 11:23 “I assure you: If anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.”

When you understand the creative force of the tongue youll believe that your words can move, create, heal, set people free!

The mountain is something large and permenant. your words are bigger!!!
