An Attack from the Outside

Acts 5:12-42

Many Signs & Wonders (5:12-16)

Points:

Many signs done by the Apostles proving the power of the gospel and Holy Spirit.

There are often two responses to the gospel (v.13-14):

Unbelief which is still has esteem.

Faith that leads to salvation.

Just like some of the people were bringing people just to be healed, some may come to Christ thinking to get something. Some will come with genuine faith and seek Christ as King and some may seek for the purpose of selfish gain.

Apostles Arrested and Freed (5:17-42)

Points:

(When the Angel saves the Apostles): God protects his church, his missionaries, and more importantly his gospel.

That protection does not necessarily mean safety - he is protecting the mission and his drive to see it completed.

“The words of this Life”:

It’s not a DECISION its a LIFE

Final Points:

Our church should be held in high regard by the community around us

Following Christ is not just a DECISION its a LIFE

It is better to obey God rather than men

If God is behind something then it cannot be stopped
