Nothing is Impossible with God

Exodus 14:20 NASB95

So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud along with the darkness, yet it gave light at night. Thus the one did not come near the other all night.

Impossible things

Nothing is impossible with God! Amen!

Do we begin to ever doubt this statement to be true?

If so, why?

We don’t take God at His word

Gen 3 “Did God really say” The serpent

Because sin entered in the world we doubt God

Any stories in the Bible of someone doubting God? Haha!!!

When we begin to not take God at His word fear comes over us.

What did Adam and Eve do after they sinned against God?

They hid from Him

Two kinds of fear

Righteous

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,

Respect

Honor

To be awe struck

Unrighteous

Many, many unrighteous fears

Fear of Failure for instance

This is why the Bible says

“Do not Fear”

58 times

“Do not be afraid”

47 times

How about the Fear of time

Anybody struggle with God’s timing of doing impossible things?

Ex 14:19-20

Pharaoh’s army is about to catch up with Israel

19 The angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.

How long?

All night

Why did God wait all night to part the sea?

Many people probably think, “Why didn’t God have the sea parted when they got there!!” Haha!

Would you be able to sleep that night knowing that Egypt was on your door step or would you have to do something?

Can you imagine what the Israelites were saying?

Probably what they said later in their wanderings....”Why did we ever leave Egypt, we had it so good being slaves.”

“God brought us out here to die.”

When Fear comes will you continue in your faith to trust God for impossible things?

Things you know He can do

Things you’ve sung He can do

Be reminded you don’t have to fear or be afraid no matter the enemy because God does impossible things
