Christ must transform us by His power and fill us with His loving spirit.
It is when we develop and utilize our own particular spiritual gifts that Christ can use us most effectively.
None should consent to be mere machines, run by another man’s mind. God has given us ability, to think and to act, and it is by acting with carefulness, looking to Him for wisdom that you will become capable of bearing burdens. Stand in your God-given personality. Be no other person’s shadow. Expect that the Lord will work in and by and through you.
God’s great love for humanity is what must compels us to act and take initiative.
We have built bridges with such individuals, they (and we too) are much less likely to be apprehensive or fearful of each other.
After a lot of practice and persistence, one can be capable to operate it and enjoy it at the same time.
Altruistic: unselfishly concerned for or devoted to the welfare of others
“Unfortunately, many non-Christians today are suspicious of all Christians because of a previous contact with a friendly religious person who had an ulterior motive. Some non-Christians refuse to listen to a single word about our Lord until they’re sure we’ll be friends regardless - even if they reject Jesus Christ. We must love each person for himself.
Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, “Follow Me.”
In My kingdom the principle of preference and supremacy has no place. The only greatness is the greatness of humility. The only distinction is found in devotion to the service of others.
“Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know; am I my Brother’s Keeper?”
“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
Each one of us is a catalyst through whom God changes our world for the better.
Salt must be mingled with the substance to which it is added; it must penetrate and infuse in order to preserve. So it is through personal contact and association that men are reached by the saving power of the gospel. They are not saved in masses, but as individuals. Personal influence is a power. We must come close to those whom we desire to benefit.
36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
The Holy Spirit takes our simple social contact and sincere testimony, and uses them to soften and convict the most hardened heart.
