God calls us to Mount Zion, Satan calls us to Mount Zaphon

Notes
Transcript
When we make God’s presence our dwelling place, everything will come into line. Nothing else matters. In Him we move and have our being. The only Hope for our nation is His Presence. The only Hope for our world is His Presence.
The Bible identifies Zion as the City of God. The place of His presence.
Zion is God’s dwelling Place.
Psalm 132:13–14 (ESV)
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place: 14 “This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.
The Bible says that David brought the Ark of the Covenant to Zion. The Ark represents God’s Presence. Later, Zion became known as the City of David (Jerusalem).
In Hebrews 12 the Bible says that the believer has come to Zion. The Church dwells in Zion because the Church carries His Presence.
Matthew 18:20 (ESV)
20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
The Bible Knowledge Commentary says:
Whenever they came together in the name of the Lord, He would be with them. And if two or three would agree together about anything it would be done forthem by the Father in heaven.[1]
Zion is about His Presence!
Psalm 48:1–3 (ESV)
Zion, the City of Our God
48 A Song. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. 1 Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, 2 beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King. 3Within her citadels God has made himself known as a fortress.
Now notice how the NIV does not use the far north, rather it says the heights of Zapon.
Psalm 48:1–3 (NIV)
1 Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. 2 Beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth, like the heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King. 3 God is in her citadels; he has shown himself to be her fortress.
I. We are called to mount Zion, the world seeks mount Zaphon

A. What is Mount Zaphon?

The Hebrew word translated as Zaphon in NIV and the North in ESV is:
Sapon.
It occurs 152 times in the Old Testament. It is translated in NIV as North 129 times and as Zaphon 3 times.
Zaphon was the most sacred mountain of the Canaanites.[2]
According to the Lexham Bible Dictionary Mount Zaphon is where Baal worship takes place:
Zaphon, Mount The sacred mountain of the god Baalor Baal-Hadad in Canaanite religion. The mountain has been identified as Jabal al Aqra’ (known as Kel Dağıin Turkish) located about 25 miles north by northeast of Ras Shamra near the mouth of the Orontes River in the border region between the modern states of Syria and Turkey.[3]
The Christ Centered Commentary points out the difference between Zion and Zaphon:
Not only does Psalm 48 give us an important reminder about the source of our true satisfaction, but it also contains an important warning about the substitutes for our true satisfaction. In verse 2 we read of Mount Zaphon. In pagan mythology, Mount Zaphon is known as the dwelling place of the chief god of the pantheon(Ross, Psalms 42–89, 123). Zaphon is also the place where Baal was worshiped. The psalmist says that Mount Zion is the uppermost peak of Mount Zaphon, which geographically speaking is laughable (Goldingay, Psalms 42–89, 86). Zaphon was larger and more majestic in every way. But theologically speaking, Zion is much greater than Zaphon because the Lord is greater than all the gods of the nations. The psalmist knows that the Lord is the true sovereign King of the world, and no other god compares. The psalmist also knows that only the Lord, not the gods of the nations, can truly satisfy us.[4]

1. What is Your Substitute for God’s Presence?

We will either find our satisfaction in God Almighty through Jesus Christ or we will be plunged into Baal worship!
Where do you find fulfillment? Is it found in God’s Presence or Worldly counterfeits and illusions? The ungodly are seeking purpose in:
· Fame
· Power
· Money
· Possessions
· Acceptance
· Occupation
· Entertainment
· Sexual Identity
The Believer seeks God’s presence.
Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

B. Zaphon is where Lucifer builds his kingdom

Isaiah 14:12–15 (NIV)
12 How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! 13 You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. 14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” 15 But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit.

1. Satan’s desire is to ascend . . . I Will:

· Ascend to the heavens
· Raise my throne above God
· Sit Enthroned on the Mount (on Mount Zaphon)
· Ascend above the tops of the clouds
· Make myself like the Most High

2. Satan’s ultimate plan

Replace God by creating an alternative Zion. His plan is to give you a substitute for God’s presence. Satan has deceived his followers that by following him you will be fulfilled and happy.

C. The World’s Elites are seeking A Substitute to God’s Presence

There is a worldwide movement seeking to establish a globalist government and a one world religion.
The one world worship will be the worship of Baal! It will be the worship of Satan!

1. The Children of Israel embraced Baal worship throughout its history.

Who is Baal? (Hint: Satan)
Ba’al, literally means boss, Lord, Master, or owner.
However, Baal is synonymous with the Mesopotamian god Bel, the god Molech/Malak/Marduk, also called Malak-Bel of Palmyra, Syria, where a temple to worship this god was built. Baal was worshiped in Canaan, by the Phoenicians, and this worship spread to Egypt.[5]
Human sacrifice to Baal
Molech is the Canaanite God associated with child sacrifice. The Carthaginians brought their children as human sacrifices to Baal. Baal appears about 90 times in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) in Zephaniah, 1 Kings, 1 Chronicles, Numbers and Genesis.
But Baal is also said to be connected to Belial (derived from Bel) and the Celtic Belenus or Beil, who was called the “bright one” or shining one.” Which obviously connects to Lucifer, the “light bringer” who has also been called the “shining one.”
Baal also became Ba’al Zebub or Beelzebub.[6]
📷
The above image is the golden calf of Moloch or Baal who the Israelites created as an idol to worship and sacrifice their children as they turned away from Moses and God to serve the gods of Egypt.
Baal means lord and is just another name for Satan or Lucifer

2. The practice of Abortion in our nation and across the world is a major aspect of Baal worship.

a. Satanist claim Abortion is one of their religious sacraments

Here are a few Headlines:
· From MassLive News
Salem-based Satanic Temple says abortion is part of a religious ceremony, challenging Texas law[7]
· From Washington Times
Satanists sue for religious right to ritual abortions[8]
· From Insider
Congregants gathered to worship abortion at the first mass of a new church exalting women's autonomy[9]

3. The Arch at the Entrance to the Temple of Baal in Palmyra, Syria

The Temple of Baal in Palmyra, Syria was built in approximately 300 ADby the Romans. In 2015, the temple was destroyed by ISIS.
The arch is a very significant aspect of the temple. It is at the entrance to the temple and to the occult. The temple represents a portal or gateway in the demonic spiritual realm.

4. World leaders have erected this Arch at significant events and celebrations to act as a gateway to satanic influence

The arch has been brought all across the earth and erected right before globalist eventsand always in significant locations to the global power structure such as New York City, London, and Dubai which are all financial powerhouses of the world (NYC being the location of the UN headquarters). Washington, D.C. and Geneva are also very important locations for the global power structure.
The first display of the Arch of Baal was rescheduled to coordinate with the Beltane Festival.
According to Jimmy Parsons:
Beltane is the name for the Gaelic May Day Festival, commonly held on May 1, or about halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice, it is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals along with Samhain. It is celebrated with rituals of fire.
Beltane translates to the “fires of Baal.” Before the modern era it was a festival marking the beginning of summer. Beltane is now celebrated by neopagans and Wiccans, who also use the name Beltane for their May Day celebrations. But what is Beltane, really? Basically, it is a festival that celebrates the God Bel (Baal).[10]
· Here are pictures of this arch at significant events across the world:

London on April 19, 2016. This is the start of the 13 day period of blood sacrifice to Baal which leads up to the occult Beltane holiday on May 1st (also date of the establishment of the Illuminati in 1776).

The arch was able to be placed in New York in September after it was announced as the Arch of Palmyra instead of the Arch of Baal.

What does the Arch to the Temple of Baal represent? The elites say: Freedom! They are talking about freedom from God and His Law. This is the same type of freedom Satan has offered from the beginning.

D. Another Expression of Baal in our society is Baphomet

📷
📷
Baphomet (Βαφὴ Μήτεως, baptism of Metis, or of fire, the Gnostic baptism), is the name given to certain symbolic figures, half male and half female, carved in stone, etc., which are said by some to have belonged to the insignia of the Knight Templars. Specimens of them are to be found in the collections of antiquities of Weimar and Vienna. These figures have generally two heads or faces, one of which is bearded; they are surrounded by serpents, and bear various inscriptions and representations of the sun, moon, truncated crosses (otherwise called Egyptian key of life and death), etc. Some have considered them as images of the devil, others as representing Mete (Wisdom), the Gnostic divinity, and others, seeing in them busts of Mohammed, considered them as proofs of the apostasy of the Templars. It seems more probable, however, that they were merely some alchemico-theosophical symbols. See Joseph von Hammer, Fundgruben d. Orients (6 vols.); Von Nell, Baphometische Actenstücke, etc. (Vienna, 1819); Same, Essay on a Cosmological Interpretation of the Phœniciun Worship of the Cabiri, etc.[11]
Is Baphomet a satanic figure for Transgenderism? This expression of Baal is “Gender Fluid” being neither male nor female.
In a society that actively seeks to mutilate our children under the guise of “Gender affirming care”, Our only response is God’s Presence!
II. life and satisfaction is ONLY FOUND in God’s Presence

A. We were created for his Presence

1. In Eden Adam and Eve had their dwelling in God’s presence

First, we were created to find our life and satisfaction in his presence. The glory of Eden is that Adam and Eve were able to live in the uninterrupted presence of God. The great effect of sin is that Adam and Eve were removed from the presence of God[12]
Genesis 3:8 (ESV)
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
The satanic plan through out history is to separate mankind from the presence of God. You were made for God’s presence!

2. God established the Tabernacle so His presence could go with the people

He established the tabernacle so that no matter where his people went, God’s presence would go with them[13]
Exodus 33:7–11 (ESV)
The Tent of Meeting
7 Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp. 8 Whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would rise up, and each would stand at his tent door, and watch Moses until he had gone into the tent. 9 When Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and the Lord would speak with Moses. 10 And when all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would rise up and worship, each at his tent door. 11 Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.
God speaks when we are in His Presence! We must get into the cloud.

3. When they left the wilderness and came into the Promise Land, God gave them the Temple so that His Presence would remain with them

In 2 Chronicles we read about the dedication of the Temple. Powerful Worship took place before the presence of the Lord.
2 Chronicles 5:7 (ESV)
7 Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place, in the inner sanctuary of the house, in the Most Holy Place, underneath the wings of the cherubim.
2 Chronicles 5:11–14 (ESV)
11 And when the priests came out of the Holy Place (for all the priests who were present had consecrated themselves, without regard to their divisions, 12 and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, their sons and kinsmen, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, stood east of the altar with 120 priests who were trumpeters; 13 and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord), and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the Lord, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever,” the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
You come into His presence through worship. The Glory of God (Cloud) was so powerful, that the only thing the priest could do was to soak in His Presence.

4. God’s presence was manifest in Jesus when He walked here on earth

In the New Testament, the glory of the Lord was in Jesus Christ, as he came to tabernacle among us and display God’s glory (John 1:14). He declared that true life and satisfaction are only found in him (John 7:37).

5. Jesus poured out His Glory and Presence on the Church on Pentecost

After Jesus’s ascension, the presence of the Lord descended on the early church, and they were filled with his presence (Acts 2). Now, God’s people are the temple of God, and his presence dwells in us (1 Cor 6:19).

6. When we get to the new heaven and new earth:

In the new heavens and new earth, God will restore us back to a life in which we live fully in his presence (Rev 21). The emphasis of the Bible has always been on the truth that all our life and satisfaction come from his presence. There is no life outside of his presence.[14]
III. God desires to see His Presence spread across the whole earth
It is the Ministry and Mission of the Church to proclaim God’s Glory in all the earth!
If we are willing to openly worship, we multiply God’s presence.
Revelation 5:12–13 (ESV)
12 saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” 13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
Isaiah 6:3–4 (ESV)
3 And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” 4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
Numbers 14:21 (ESV)
21 But truly, as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord,
Psalm 72:17–19 (ESV)
17 May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May people be blessed in him, all nations call him blessed! 18 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. 19 Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!
