Made in the Image of God:
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
God created man after His own patter. ..
Notice that in the passage we read that it appears as though God is having a conversation with Himself. Well, He is and He isn’t. God is not one being, but at the same time, He is ONE. “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness” The Bible teaches that God is triune. Meaning that God is one but three. We know them as God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
When God created man, He created man after that pattern. Man is also three in one. We are Body, Soul and Spirit.
The key to understanding yourself is understanding how God created you. If your dishwasher stopped working who would you call? The repair man… Why? Because he is the expert… He knows every part, knows how it works, and has the knowledge to figure out what is wrong.
What about life? Who should we call, or call on when their is a problem? God? Do you know why? He is the expert, He knows exactly how every part of you works and He knows everything there is to know about you!
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
In our Bible during the creation, how did God create all that we see? He spoke it...
How did God create Adam? He formed him.
Then what did He do? He breathed into His nostrils the breath of life!!! He gave Adam a living soul...
Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
God knows us...

Mankind is the only creature formed by the hands of God
Mankind is the only creature given the breath of life.
Man is the only creature given eternal, never dying soul.
Man is the only creature made in the image and likeness of God.
Man was given a role, it was to have dominion over every thing on the earth that God had created.
Man was given the fruit of every growing plant for nourishment.
Man was given a helpmeet, taken out of him, also made in the image of God.
Do you know what all of that means? That being human is no excuse for bad choices, or for doing wrong… If fact, God has a specific plan for your life.
