God provided for Elijah, and He will provide for you too. Elijah obeyed the Lord and trusted that He would provide. For us, we usually don’t get our meals delivered daily by ravens, now that would be unbelievable. But, we can still trust that God will provide for us when we have faith and obey Him.
Be Responsible 3. Food from Empty Vessels. (1 Kings 17:8–16)

In our modern society, with its credit cards and convenient shopping, we need to remember that each meal we eat is a miracle from the hand of God. We may live far from the farmers who grow our food, but we can’t live without them. “Give us this day our daily bread” is more than a line in a prayer that we may too casually recite. It’s the expression of a great truth, that the Lord cares for us and uses many hands to feed us.

Back of the loaf is the snowy flour,

And back of the flour is the mill,

And back of the mill is the wheat, sun, and shower,

The farmer—and the Father’s will.

Do you often credit yourself for your accomplishments or possessions?
How does knowing how God provides for you change your perspective on your finances, career etc?
Read Matthew 6:

“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

26 “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

27 “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

28 “And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,

29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.

30 “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

31 “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’

32 “For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

“Because of our proneness to look at the bucket and forget the fountain, God has frequently to change His means of supply to keep our eyes fixed on the source.” -Watchman Nee

When are you most tempted to doubt God’s care for you?
“Trust” means “surrendering control.” What might it look like to practically trust God with your resources? Financially, materially, even the gifts He’s given you?
Is disbelief in God’s provision keeping you from obeying Him?
Mention how your gifts and talents also apply to Matthew 6 passage. Hiding the talents away and/or not using them for His glory is not the way to glorify God.
