Jesus’ outline of Revelation:
What was seen: Jesus Glorified - Revelation 1:9-20.
What is: the Seven Churches - Revelation 2-3.
What will be: Jesus’ judgement in the seven seals, trumpets and bowls. Revelation 4-22.

Who is Jesus?

Does he deserve to be heard and obeyed in worship?

Revelation 1:4 ESV
4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,
Who is grace and peace from in verse four?
Yaweh, who is and was and is to come.
This unique phrase, is alluding to the Septuagint reading of Exodus 3:14 And Yaweh spoke to Moses, saying, “I am the One who exists.” And he said, “Thus you will say to the children of Israel, ‘The One who exists has sent me to you.’, it focuses on God’s eternal nature of past, present, and future. Jesus died and is alive.
Romans 14:9 ESV
9 For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
Jesus holds the keys to Death and Hades. (Will talk about this on a Wednesday night.)
Jesus - Yaweh Embodied.

Who is Jesus? He is Yaweh embodied.
Let us hear and obey him in worship.
