Why Does God Do Everything?
Not because of a need.
Gen 1:1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Before anything existed, God existed. This opening line of the Bible explains in a simple and partial phrase the attributes of God that simply are. These perfections of God are exactly that, perfects. I say this because they cannot be improved upon. God is the way God is. God was the way God was. God will be the way God will be. And God is the same as He was, the same as He is and the same and He will be. In other words God is the way God is without change and completely complete regardless of the existence of time. Time has no effect of God. Time does not apply to God. Time is a creation of God. God was who He was before time and God is exactly the same being after time was created. Before time existed God was the same as God is now and the same God will be forever. As the first fact that must be known in all the universe and beyond, that first truth must be accepted or all other truth will have contamination in it the precludes it from actually being truth. Truth cannot be actually and fully truth if it has error in it and it is not possible to arrive at truth unless it begins in this reality “In The Beginning God...”
God in talking with God about God has this to say about God. John 17
