family - first school, first hospital, first government, first church

Deut. 21:18 ““If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not listen to the voice of his father and to the voice of his mother, and they discipline him, and he does not obey them,”

Honoring dad and mom is the way our children learn to honor God. It is God’s plan for passing down the faith

We should look to them with honor even when they don’t seem they deserve our respect. In honoring them we are giving honor to God who placed them in that place.
The authority placed in our hands by God is a special trust. We must never abuse others under our care. In the family - Yes, parents are to discipline, but that’s just one part. We are called to pray encourage, counsel, protect and provide for their needs.
