Morning Devotional:

Theme-          God our unshakable fortress Scripture-       Psalm 18:1-6
Today as we visit the ancient city of Petra. A city Carved with skill and precision into the side of of a Mountian, , we will see how these rock formations not only served as walls of protection but also created an impenetrable stronghold for the city's inhabitants.
When the people were in the city they were protected by he solid from any enemy that wanted o attack
Just Like Petra was a fortress that protected its in inhabitants The Bible tells us that if we are in in Christ , we too have a fortress that protects us from he enemies attacks in our lives
Listen to the Words David Penned the day after God delivered him from the Hand of Saul in Psalm 18:1-6 I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death encompassed me; the torrents of destruction assailed me; the cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached his ears.”
If you are a follower of Jesus, than God is your ultimate fortress.
He is your Solid Foundation: your salvation is grounded in Him.
His means the he is the one who secures your eternity based on his perfection and not your imperfections He is also your Divine Protection:
Gd doesn’t save us then leave us, he saves us and keeps us. This ,eans that he is the one who protects and equipped us to stand up against the enemies attacks. We can take refuge in Him, finding safety and security in His presence Maybe tour some one here on this tour who has never received Gods grace in your life, maybe your here tying to understoamd who God really is and is he worth following. Let me encourage you with this… Petra wasn’t just a fortress for its inhabitants , it was a place of refuge for weary travels , they were welcomed into this shelter to find rest. God ofers us rest if we would one into his shelter. The Bible tells us that he is an Ever-Present Help in time of need ,God invites us to come to Him, to find rest and restoration for our souls to find salvation . No matter how overwhelmed or burdened you may feel, God is there, ready to provide the comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. Don’t carry your burdens any longer = come to the one who is offering you rest and forgiveness today.
As we reflect on the magnificent city of Petra today, i encourage you to remember that it serves as a powerful metaphor for our relationship with God.
Just as Petra stands unyielding amidst the rocks, God is our unshakable fortress. He provides a solid foundation, a divine protection, and an ever-present help in time of need
Take time as we walk through this city to take a moment to pray and thank God for being your fortress, your refuge, and your strength. Ask Him to help you trust in Him completely, knowing that He is always there to guide and protect you.
Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our unshakable fortress. Just as Petra stands strong in the rocks, we find our strength and security in You. Help us to build our lives on the firm foundation of faith, trusting in Your divine protection and guidance. May we continually seek refuge in You, finding rest for our weary souls and drawing strength from Your unwavering love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
