Story if time

Funniest thing that Happened - Walked onto the wrong tour bus and then looked up to realize that everyone was Chinese and didn’t speak english ‘I said Hello (NiHao) and quickly walked off the bus....)
One of the Places I had the privilege to preach was in the Roman Coliseum of Cesarea. This amphitheater Represents one of the most powerful governments of all time.
Both Paul and Peter were given many opportunities to share the Gospel with many leaders of their day that were very powerful influential people.
And the one thing we see in evert one of these accounts is that they boldly proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ to the World.
One of the biggest impacts this trip has had on my ministry is to see the impact the Redemptive plan of Jesus Christ has had on this world.
In Acts 26 we see the apostle Paul on Trial for Preaching the gospel Message.
And the account we read is Paul taking every opportunity to share Christ with everyone who would listen including King Agrippa, and Festas the Roman Governor of Judea even when He was on trial most likely at that vert spot In Ceasarea I stood and preached. Talk about a humbling experience for me as a pastor today.
Listen to Paul conversation with Agrippa & Festas in Acts 26:24-2924 And as he was saying these things in his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are out of your mind; your great learning is driving you out of your mind.” 25 But Paul said, “I am not out of my mind, most excellent Festus, but I am speaking true and rational words. 26 For the king knows about these things, and to him I speak boldly. For I am persuaded that none of these things has escaped his notice, for this has not been done in a corner. 27 King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe.”
28 And Agrippa said to Paul, “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”
29 And Paul said, “Whether short or long, I would appeal to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am.”
The point I want us to consider from this story this morning is this…
We should be so in Love with the gospel of Jesus that we cant help but proclaim it to the world around.
When we understand what it took for the gospel message to be ours to claim it should drive us to the point of proclaiming it to the world.
As I spent the last two week walking through the land of the gospel… It became so much more alive in my life.
To stand on top the mountain where God gave mankind the Law was a sombering moment for me as I reflected on the words of
ROmans 8:3
Romans 8:3 ESV
3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,
And then to stand on top of mt Nebo where God told Moses that because of his sin he would not be able to enter into the promised land.
And this Mountain top reminded me of the words of Romans 3:23
Romans 3:23 ESV
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Because of my sin- I too cannot enter into the promised kingdom of God.
But then As I stood next to Mt Calvary- The same mountain that Abram offered up Isaac on. I am reminded of the unconditional substittue Christ became for me.
He took my sins, He paid my debt so that I could have eternal life in the kingdom of God forever.
Romans 5:8 ESV
8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
This is the gospel message that Paul proclaimed in that Ampitheatre in front of Everyone who could hear him..
CHurch Family- We never know when God may give us an opportunity to share our faith story with the wold around us,
God has called you to share the message of hope with people who desperately in need of its Savior.
As I reflect back on my time in the Holy Land I an overwhelmed by the Words of Paul in Romans 1:16
Romans 1:16 ESV
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God into Salvation.”
Brothers and Sisters in Christ- I exhort you to be encouraged to be bold in your faith stand up for what is right, Proclaim the gospel message of Jesus Christ- and then put the results in God’s hands.
Paul in our passage in Acts Simply told these men “ I am praying that God will do to you exactly what He did for me- I am praying that he opens your eyes so that you too will see your need for a savior.
One of my life verses is Philippians 1:20-21 20 as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
What I learned from my trip is that God wants to use us as the conduit to carry His gospel message to the World, But He also is the One who Equips us to do it.
Church Family Be Bold in your obedience of Proclaiming the gospel story to the World..
