Josiah Obeyed God's Word

Intro

Today we are going to learn a story about a king. Not just any king, but one of the youngest kings to ever rule. Can you guess how old Josiah was when he became king of Judah?

8 years old! That is how young Josiah was when he became king! Imagine being a king or queen at that young of an age. All of the different responsibilities you would have, and all of the people who would answer to you, even those who would be much older than you!

Josiah Did What Was Right

Although Josiah was only 8 years old, he made a choice, a decision: to obey God and do what’s right.

In 2 Kings 22, found in the Old Testament, God’s Word tells us this:

2 He did what was right in the Lord’s sight and walked in all the ways of his ancestor David; he did not turn to the right or the left.
