Text: 2 Peter 1:3-11
Intro: As we continue with our theme today we will look to build our next pillar. So far we have been reminded that that the foundation in which we are build upon is Christ and that through Him we can be unmovable.
Proverbs 9:1 KJV 1900
Wisdom hath builded her house, She hath hewn out her seven pillars:
With each addition to our faith we are adding a pillar that eventually will leave us with a 7 pillared house of wisdom.
I want to remind us that it is easy to be distracted, just ask those Haggai day.
Haggai 1:5–6 KJV 1900
Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; Ye eat, but ye have not enough; Ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; Ye clothe you, but there is none warm; And he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
Haggai’s message comes to the people 16 years after they laid the foundation.
