Questions:
What were they doing?
They were serving God. They were following their calling.
Who were they?
They were Jesus chosen Disciples.
They had a purpose and a vision.
What did some of them do for a living before this?
There were fishermen aboard. It must have been intense to freak them out.
Who were they with?
Jesus was physically with them. He has demonstrated who he is.
What can we take from this?
When we are CLEARLY walking with Jesus and following His vision no wind or waves or storms of life can prevail.
We don’t need to panic.
We simply need to fix our eyes on Him and know that God will win no matter what.
Jesus was in control then and he is in control today!
Hebrews 13:8 NIV
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
If we believe this then we need to look to Him when life is becoming “stormy” it could be one of the worst storms life has to throw at us. Even then, we know that Jesus is with us and therefore we can find peace and joy.
