Must have whatever it doesn’t have (Envious v2b)

Must-Have Fulfillment of Pleasures (v3)

Must-Have Praise of Men (4)

Even to the point of being hostile toward God to get the praise of men.

Look a the behavior associated with the pursuit of these desires

Murder

Fighting

Quarreling

EVEN QUARRELING WITH GOD

You cannot have peace with a proud-hearted person, because they don’t want peace. They want and demand to have their way, even to the point be being delusional, and they fight and war with everyone who isn’t willing to give it to them.

4. What the Humble Heart Wants

Humility is a work of God’s grace

Humility means to have lowliness of Mind

God’s grace changes the desire of your heart.

“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

The Humble in Heart are In Submission to God

The Humble Heart Desires to Be Near to God

The Humble Heart Opposes the Devil

The Humble Heart Confesses Sin

The Humble Heart Grieves Over Sin

Those who are humble in heart are exalted by God.
