PEACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
PEACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
YOU HAVE HEARD THE SAYING THAT “IF IT IS NOT BROKE, DON’T FIX IT.”
WELL, WE HAVE ALL SENSED THAT SOMETHING WAS BROKEN IN EDUCATION AND THEY HAVE SAUGHT TO FIX IT. THE PROBLEM IS THE “FIXING” OF IT WAS TO THEIR BENEFIT (THE HIGHER UPS AND LOBBYIST) BUT NOT TO THE BENEFIT OF THOSE IT WAS SEEKING TO HELP, STUDENTS.
TEEN SUICIDE HAS INCREASED AND SCHOOLS HAVE BEEN TASKED TO DEAL WITH THIS BUT IT IS THIS SYSTEM THAT IS CREATING STRESSES (ACADEMIC, SOCIAL ETC) THAT ARE NOW BECOMING REAL REASONS
BY IMPLICATION THAT HAS BEEN HAVING A DISASTEROUS AFFECT ON STUDENTS
BUT IT A RESULT OF WHAT SCHOOL IS NOT OFFERING: SPACE…(MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL) AND REAL LEARNING THAT TRULY EXCITES CURIOSITY
AS AN EDUCATOR I ALWAYS PUSHED THE ENVELOP ON THE CURRENT STRUCTURE OF EDUCATION. WHEN I BECAME A LEADER OF A SCHOOL I FELT THE OBLIGATION TO BEGIN SHIFTING HOW WE THOUGHT ABOUT EDUCATION AND EVEN HOW WE THOUGHT ABOUT SCHOOL AS A SYSTEM THAT FELT MORE LIKE A CONVEYOR BELT AND LESS LIKE REAL LEARNING.
SOMETIMES INSTITUTIONS BEGIN TO EXIST FOR THEMSELVES AND BECAUSE OF THAT. EVEN IF THERE WERE INTEREST TO HAVE COURAGE TO SHIFT THE NARRATIVE, THE INSTITUTION WOULD SAY NO
PEACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY EXISTS TO DO JUST THAT
I WANT TO START WITH OUR PASSION
OUR PASSION
OUR PASSION
We do not buy the narrative that “Busy Is Better” or that “More equals the way to Excellence.
We do not buy the narrative that “Busy Is Better” or that “More equals the way to Excellence.
HISTORY PROVES THAT
Children are being trained to be busy for 7 plus hours each day in the conventional school setting. This does not factor in the extended time needed to complete homework assignment. What we are learning in our current educational model is that busy doesn’t always equal better, meaningful, or purposeful. The idea of being busy is an epidemic in our society that has led to fractures within the family, developing meaningful relationships and hinders the full development of the whole child. For many children, this sadly leads to stress, unhappiness as well as a loss of focus and interest at school. Unfortunately, our educational system continues to feed and operate off-of the narrative that being busy means being better. Peace Christian Academy started because we do not want a broken educational system to continue breaking our children mentally, physically, or spiritually. We believe that true learning engagement are sparked when the mind and body are rested, and meaningful relationships are being nurtured.

Christ-Centered. We believe that the aim of instruction is the glory of God in the worship of and growth in Christ. While we are not a covenant school, our strategy is to develop, by the grace of God, young men and women who love Jesus.

Rooted In the Bible. We hold to the belief that the Word of God (the Bible) is the ultimate truth for faith and practice. For that reason, our core curriculum is rooted in the scripture ensuring that our students learn all subjects from a Biblical Worldview.

Developing Learning Leaders: We believe that leadership is the ongoing process of learning. Our focus is not merely the impartation of facts, but the shaping of curiosity which cultivates a heart of constant and continual learning.

Cultivating Authentic Relationship. We believe that we were created by God for meaningful relationships. To be whole we need relationships that weep when we weep and rejoice when we rejoice; relationships that are life on life offer mutual encouragement and love.

Shaping the Future. We believe that education is a stewardship for the Lord and that children are God’s weapons to shape a future for His glory. We take seriously our role in leaving to the world a generation of godly young men and women who will be legacy makers for His glory.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Highlighting student individuality and creativity
Highlighting student individuality and creativity
We encourage and motivate our students to be confident in as well as to express their individuality, while discovering the power of collaborate learning and sharing. This increases a student’s ability in critical thinking, cultivating, and sharing ideas as well as learning how they impact and influence others. Our goal is to awaken and sustain a passion for learning that extends beyond the classroom and fosters a curiosity to understand and faithfully engage with the world in which they live. We do not offer cookie cutter educational environment. Our teachers encourage our students to breathe life into academic subjects that reflect their own strengths, talents, and passions.
Developing A Passion for Life-long learning
Developing A Passion for Life-long learning
The goal of producing life-long learners means teaching them to value process over outcome, and relationships over production. We value academic rigor. Our goal is to equip students to be intellectually capable of navigating life and society. However, we also understand the increasing need to support each child’s mental health as well. Our students are encouraged to foster a sense of ownership over their education process in order to promote a growth over the emotional and mental perils that can come from a mindset of academic perfection. Learning has no end point. It is a journey that is ever expanding with each opportunity, engagement, and relationship. According to Psalm 139:14, the Lord has created each child with their own beauty and capacities. Therefore, we believe that teaching students should reflect that truth of their uniqueness.
Healthy Childhood and Healthy Families
Healthy Childhood and Healthy Families
Peace Christian Academy will give each child, under the guidance of trained educators, a chance to master age appropriate, foundational concepts with attention given to their specific interests at home, sports, or the arts. Therefore, PCA will not operate on the conventional times for schooling but will offer a model that is conducive to a healthy childhood and family time.
