Jesus Still Make House Calls. Jesus is Coming to My House

Jericho was a city On the outskirts of Jerusalem. As Jesus approached Jericho in Chapter 18 of Lukes gospel we find that Jesus stopped to see about a blind man begging on the road side. Matthew records that there actually two men, but Luke highlights this one particular man.

Now Jericho was a city that we know about. You remember Jericho. It was in Jericho That Joshua fought the battle against the caananites. Jericho was a city that was fortified. Joshua chapter 6 says it was “straightly shut up”…nothing could get in and nothing could get out. You know the story,..the Lord told Joshua that I given you the city, the king of the city and soldiers of the city. All you need to do is to walk around the city once for 6 days with the priest that bear the ark, with 7 trumpets and on the 7th day compass the city 7 times and the priest shall blow the trumpets. And when you hear the sound of the trumpet the people shall shout with a great shout.

Well you know the story they did as Joshua commanded and the wall that fortified the city fell down flat.

well children of God this wall around the city of Jericho represents a stronghold and it is interesting that when Jesus come near unot Jericho he performs a miracle and when he enters Jericho he works a greater type of miracle.

His destiny was Zacchaues house. He knew Zacchaues name and his address, even before entering into the city.

I came to tell somebody this morning that it doesn’t natter what you are going through - Jesus knows your name and He knows your address. And his destination is “your house”

----He stopped by my house when I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore…deeply stained within sinking to rise no more. But the master of the sea heard my despairing cry and from the water lifted me now safe am I. He made a housecall. Jesus made a house call…did he stop by your house? Did he make a house call at your house.
