We are children of wrath.
We are unable to save ourselves.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.
God’s glory is shown in judgement.

25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.
Sin requires punishment, and that punishment is death.
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
We can’t save ourselves, we can’t do any good alone!
We need Christ, without Him we are dead!
