Introduction

In this book, Paul is writing to the church in Philippi. The book is seen as a “thank you” to the Philippians for their constant caring for Paul. It’s nothing for Paul to write an encouraging letter, but it’s something when that letter is written from jail.
What does it mean to be content? When our attitude on the inside doesn’t reflect our outward circumstances, that’s being content.
