Be careful how you live because God has been so good to us and it’s another wonderful Wednesday. He woke us up this morning started us on our way and we are here tonight at bible study looking listening and expecting the awe of your splendor, the awe of your holiness, the awe of your beautiful creation. Lord I just want to say thank you. And Father renew our minds that we might prove that good and acceptable and perfect will that you have planned for our lives. Create a new heart within me. I want to be more like you Lord each and everyday. Lord I want the Jesus Theology to be ever present in the way that I live. Lord please remove fear and doubt and deceit and drive away all of my reasons to worry and fill me with hope for a bigger brighter and bolder day. Lord teach me how to live watch over my family and friends and even my foes. Keep all of us in your keeping care. Dispatch your heavenly angels to keep us safe from hurt harm or dangers, dangers seen and unseen. Help us learn to live in a holy manner.

1 Timothy 4:14  Use the gift you have, which was given to you through prophecy when the group of elders laid their hands on you. 15 Continue to do those things; give your life to doing them so your progress may be seen by everyone. 16 Be careful in your life and in your teaching. If you continue to live and teach rightly, you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

KJV 1 Timothy 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Presbyterion (pres-boo-ter’-ee-on) Senior most Elder such as the order of Elders, specifically the Israelite Sanhedrin or Christian presbytery. The estate of Elders

15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

I like this because it gives a pattern to follow, specific instructions and ethical standards to live by.

1. In 1 Timothy 4:14  Use the gift you have, That means assess the talents and treasures and time that you currently have. You’ve got to know what you’re working with. The second part of the verse says that it was the Holy Ghost that gave you your gifts. Listen to the text it says “ which was given to you through prophecy when the group of elders laid their hands on you.” meaning that Timothy was ordained to be legitimate, to be bonifided and too be authentic.

2. In the KJV it says in verse 15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Listen if you knock the ball out the park once that’s good 3x but in order to be a superstar on the team you have to knock the ball out the park over and over and over again. In other words verse 15 says Continue to do those things 3x; give your life to doing them so your progress may be seen by everyone. When you live good decent and holy over and over and over again everybody will see that lifestyle characteristic.

3. Then lastly we see in verse 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. Be careful how you live take heed to thyself . That NBA star John Morant was seen shooting a videos with him with pistol play. The first time his publicist and agents said it was an accident or something like that. The NBA gave John Morant a slap on the wrist and he went right on. But then recently it happened again and this time the NBA has suspended John indefinitely. Be careful how you live. Somebody is going to see you do something you ain’t got no business doing and if they don’t, Certainly God knows all about it. And the writer Paul tells his young son Timothy In verse 16 continue in the doctrine continue in the word and be the example that God wants you to be and you’ll save yourself and your witness will save others as well. You can’t help me( wait let me rephrase that) I don’t want you to help me if your lifestyle shoty, shifty, shameful and sinful. You might be able to help me 3x but I ain’t really gon want your help.Don’t try to tell me how to live when you’re not living well.People hear your sermon but they see your life.. And for little children to mimic what they see and hear.

Look at Chapter 5 1 Timothy 5:1 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; 2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.

1. I remember the older folk in the community, and we couldn’t talk back or sassy or be a smart el lic to them old people. and I carry that even to this present day. 1 Timothy 5:1 says Do not speak angrily to an older man, but plead with him as if he were your father. In other words make sure you’re doing it with respect and not malice or hate or anger because God is watching.

Treat younger men like brothers . That means every man deserves to recieve respect and diginity and be honored not belittled downplayed disrespected or disallowed for no reason. Treat younger men like brothers.

Then 2. Another Rule for living with people is 2  treat older women like mothers. There will not come a day that I will be disrespectful to the elderly ladies in the church out in town in the community or no where else. I just can’t see myself talking crazy and rude and loud and stupid and wicked to somebody who is my mother’s age. That woman old enough to be your mama and even if she rotten and no good the bible says don’t talk to her or treat her with disrespect.

3. Then treat the , younger women like sisters. Always treat them in a pure way. Don’t be asking to get under their clothes. I have seen to many pastors engage in wrongful relationships with their members and cause to church to be all broke up. I personally think that there are a lot of beautiful women in here.Yes in deed But. I learned a long time ago never use the bathroom where you got to eat at. There are standards and limits and codes and creeds and conducts to follow.

1 Timothy 5:3 Take care of widows who are truly widows. 4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to do their duty to their own family and to repay their parents or grandparents. That pleases God.

1 In Verse 3.  We are to take care of the widows. the bible says to Honour widows that are widows indeed.

2. IN verse 4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God. In other words take care of your family that’s at home… It’s a lot and it’s hard , and sometimes it seems like nobody else cares but God will reward you in your well doing… So hold on help is on the way.

3. 5 Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.

6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

Another translation says .5 The true widow, who is all alone, puts her hope in God and continues to pray night and day for God’s help. 6 But the widow who uses her life to please herself is really dead while she is alive.

And you wonder why all of this is written in the bible. The bible will paint a picture for you that will deal with every facet of everyday living. But you got to read the bible to be wise believe the bible to be saved and then Practice the bible to live holy.

Look at verse 7 And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless. 8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 1. Very rarely do I ever see a homeless man or woman out in the country. They may be all over the cities but not all over the countryside. And why is that? People in the countryside just live better, they care differently, even if they know you ain’t no good they’ll feed you. Because you’re Mrs Nooney Bee”s child. And they’ll say stuff like that boy ain’t be straight since she died. Hid moma was all he had. I know I’m right about it.

Rules for Living. Be careful How you live Look at verses 9  from the NCV To be on the list of widows, a woman must be at least sixty years old. She must have been faithful to her husband. 10 She must be known for her good works—works such as raising her children, welcoming strangers, washing the feet of God’s people, helping those in trouble, and giving her life to do all kinds of good deeds.

1. she has to be at least 60 years old

2. She must have been faithful to her own husband while he was living and after he’s dead.

3 she must be know for being a good person with a good heart showing good works and helping people.

4. She raises her children right. That’s hard to do without no husband but I’ve seen many mothers be mother and father and those children come out right.

5.welcomes (strangers a custom of that day)

6. she shows hospitality by washing the saint’s feet(again a custom of that day).

7. Giving her life and committing to doing all kind of good deeds. The bible says all of this wholesome stuff about the widow’s good character because there is a flip side of this.

Is found in verses 11 But do not put younger widows on that list. After they give themselves to Christ, they are pulled away from him by their physical desires, and then they want to marry again. 12 They will be judged for not doing what they first promised to do. 13 Besides that, they learn to waste their time, going from house to house. And they not only waste their time but also begin to gossip and busy themselves with other people’s lives, saying things they should not say. OO OOO we. Paul tells Timothy son when you start Pa storing suggest that

14 So I want the younger widows to marry, have children, and manage their homes. Then no enemy will have any reason to criticize them.

15 But some have already turned away to follow Satan.

16 If any woman who is a believer has widows in her family, she should care for them herself. The church should not have to care for them. Then it will be able to take care of those who are truly widows.

Paul spends a lot of time in scripture on the widow woman because there could be the danger of neglect to those widows in the church that need help. So far I’ve seen that the brothers will help sisters out who are in need of help. That’s good and like I said It’s more common in the countryside than it would be in the city.

Rule to Live By in Pauline Doctrine and theology

17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. 18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. 19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but xbefore two or three witnesses.

Verses 17-19 means 1. 17 The elders Pastors Preachers Ministers Bishops etc who lead the church well should receive double honor 3x, especially those who work hard by speaking and teaching, 18 because the Scripture says: “When an ox is working in the grain, do not cover its mouth to keep it from eating,” and “A worker should be given his pay.”

Rules to Live By be careful how you live

Paul tells Timothy and the church leaders in verse 19 Do not listen to someone who accuses an elder, without two or three witnesses.

20 Tell those who continue sinning that they are wrong. Do this in front of the whole church so that the others will have a warning.

If there is a moral sin and ethical sin or a spiritual sin tell the pastor about it. Tell the deacons and trustees about it tell the choir about it tell the ushers about it and any and every other auxiliary that needs correcting about it.

21 Before God and Christ Jesus and the chosen angels, I command you to do these things without showing favor of any kind to anyone.

I could like you all day long but I’m not going along with wrong doing. Brothers and sisters what’s happening now in our Great country the USA is a crying shame. Nobody wants to say to our former president that his sin level is wicked diabolical devilish and deviant. Right has become wrong and wrong definitely is right and you better not tell me nothing about it. and I’m going to win the presidency again and pardon myself. so America sit down and shut up while I make America great again.

22 Think carefully before you lay your hands on anyone, and don’t share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure. When I became a Pastor for a while I used to be reserved about and concerning who I would lay hands on and pray for. But now that the powerful anointing that God has placed on me, I’m not afraid to lay hands and pray anymore. God said now weapon form against you shall prosper so go ahead and pray fro healing, deliverance, freedom liberty, justice, fairness, honesty, grace and mercy etc Pray for families and friends and foes a like, Pray fro everybody.. Because the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!!! I’m not scared on no demons!!! But here’s the problem with Timothy and Paul knew his condition.

23 Stop drinking only water, but drink a little wine to help your stomach and your frequent sicknesses. Timothy had stomach problems. He probably had a stomach ulcer or stomach cancer back then they didn’t call it that.

24 The sins of some people are easy to see even before they are judged, but the sins of others are seen only later. 25 So also good deeds are easy to see, but even those that are not easily seen cannot stay hidden. The essence of these scriptures is that what ever you do good or bad God sees everything. Because you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can’t fool God none of the time.
