THERE’S AN ISSUE THAT WE ALL HAVE

THRONE ISSUE

Whoever is on the throne calls the shots. Makes the decisions. Sets the direction.

And you get to decide who sits on the throne of your heart. And it matters.

THE EVIL IN OUR WORLD. EVERYTHING. IS ALL A THRONE ISSUE

SATAN

His whole agenda is trying to make sure that he has control over the throne of your heart.

Satan is a created being. He was in charge of worship. He had freedom of choice and chose to rebel and convinced 1/3 of angels to come with him. Failed. Kicked out of heaven.

The Devil is not equal to God. His days are numbered. His plan to get God’s throne didn’t work so he will settle for our hearts throne. Dethrone God from your heart, and place himself there.

The enemy knows that is he can sit on your throne OR for us to sit on our own throne, it will effect our entire life and we will miss the PURPOSE God has for our life.

THE ENEMY IS SNEAKY

Everything God has for you the enemy has for you he has a counterfeit version. Or he wants you to use God’s gifts in a God forbidden way.

GARDEN OF EDEN

Enemy tried to get them to dethrone God and enthrone themselves. THE ENEMY HASN’T CHANGED SINCE THE BEGINNING

Genesis 3:6 NLT

6 The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too.

LUST OF FLESH, EYES, PRIDE OF LIFE

It’s always his tactic. They messed up and chose the wrong thing

1 John 2:16 ESV

16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

Heaven didn’t work so Satan moves his battle to our hearts.

And the devil knew God had to have a plan. God sends Jesus. Who lives a perfect life to pay our price on the cross. So that we could have life and forgiveness and have a relationship with God.

SO THE DEVIL DECIDES TO FIGHT THAT.

Thinks about all the things fighting against Jesus fulfilling his purpose. Herod killing the baby boys. The enemy fighting to get Jesus arrested. The Cross.

But before the Cross Jesus gets baptized. And it’s this spiritual high point. And at this moment the enemy decides to try to take Jesus out.

WHEN WE FEEL MOST VALUABLE IS OFTEN WHEN WE ARE THE MOST VULNERABLE.

Right when we see God move. You better believe the enemy is trying to move too.

THE DEVIL HAS A PLAN TO TAKE YOU OUT

To ruin your marriage. To ruin your witness. To mess your relationships up.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE THRONE.

He want’s you to call the shots.

40 days and 40 nights of fasting and then the enemy comes after JESUS.

Lust of flesh eyes and pride of life happens here.

JESUS WAS BAPTIZED TO IDENTIFY WITH US AND HE WAS TEMPTED TO IDENTIFY WITH US

When you go to Jesus in prayer you are praying to someone who has been there.

1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil. 2 For forty days and forty nights he fasted and became very hungry. 3 During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But Jesus told him, “No! And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’ ” 7 Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’”

THE PRIDE OF LIFE

8 Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 “I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will kneel down and worship me.” 10 “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’” 11 Then the devil went away, and angels came and took care of Jesus.

SURRENDER

everything to Jesus. Jesus you sit on the throne.

The enemy is trying to get done on earth and in your heart what he couldnt do in heaven. And his small victories here lead to big effects in our lifes.

STUDY HIS WORD

It’s how Jesus fought. It’s how we need to fight as well.
