Philippians 2:21–30 KJV 1900
For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s. But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly. Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

WE NEED TO LIVE THINKING OF OTHERS

Philippians 2:20–21 (KJV 1900)
For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.
John 13:34 (KJV 1900)
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 15:12–13 (KJV 1900)
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

WE NEED TO LIVE CONSISTENTLY

Philippians 2:22 (KJV 1900)
But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
Proverbs 10:9 (KJV 1900)
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
But he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

WE NEED TO LIVE UNITED TOGETHER

1 Corinthians 12:12 (KJV 1900)
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
Romans 12:4–8 (KJV 1900)
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Philippians 2:25 (KJV 1900)
Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

WE NEED TO LIVE FULLY COMMITTED

Philippians 2:25–27 (KJV 1900)
Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
Philippians 3:13–14 (KJV 1900)
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 9:24 (KJV 1900)
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV 1900)
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

WE NEED TO LIVE COURAGEOUSLY

Philippians 2:29–30 (KJV 1900)
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
Mark 8:35 (KJV 1900)
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
