God Opposes the Proud

James 4:6 NKJV

6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

6 Pero él da mayor gracia. Por esto dice: Dios resiste a los soberbios, y da gracia a los humildes.

The things of God are so often opposite from what we see advertised in this world. We men encouraged to

be macho

never cry

always have the answer

never ask for help

Yet more than ever, what men need is His Grace!!!

Let’s go back to the beginning of this chapter and take it a bit at a time.

James 4:1–2 NKJV

1 Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? 2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
