We’ve had a great week here learning about Noah’s flood and how God saved Noah and his family. Each day we learned an important lesson from Noah and his faithfulness. We learned that we are to...
Stand for God
Stand for God
13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Like Noah we are to be brave and not be afraid to stand for God, even if everyone around us isn’t.
We learned to...
Obey God
Obey God
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
We learned that obedience is important. When we obey our parents we are showing them that we love them. When we obey God we are showing that we love Him!
Noah didn’t question God, he simply obeyed what God said and built an ark.
Next we learned to...
Trust God
Trust God
14 But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.
We learned this week that it had never rained on the earth before the flood, but Noah knew that God was not a liar! When God said “Noah, it’s going to rain, and its going to flood, and I want you to build an ark. Anyone who gets on the ark will live, but anyone who doesn’t, they will die.” Noah understood that God was serious!
Let me ask you, what would have happened if Noah had built the ark, but then he didn’t get onboard? That’s right! He would have died!
Noah was saved, and his family, because they trusted what God said and got on the ark. It is important to trust God, and it is important to...
Thank God
Thank God
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
We should thank God everyday for being so good to us! Noah and his family, like all of, were sinners and they did not deserve to be spared from the flood, but because God is a good God, He showed Noah grace and spared his life. For this reason, Noa and his family thanked God when they left the ark.
Tonight’s lesson is just as important as the others, we should all stand for God, obey God, trust God, and thank God, but we also should...
Fear God
Fear God
1 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, That delighteth greatly in his commandments.
When the Bible says “fear God” it doesn’t mean that we should be afraid and go hide from Him like He’s a monster! It means that we should take God seriously.
We should take Him seriously when He says in the Bible:
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
The Bible is God’s Word and it says that we are all sinners, and becasue we are all sinners, we cannot go where God is. In fact, we all deserve to die and to go to a place called hell
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
That verse is a good verse becasue it tells us the bad news, but also the good news!
We all may be sinners, but listen to this verse:
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
As sinners we deserve death and to be kept from God, but Jesus died for us even while we are still sinners!
The Bible tells us that we can be saved, not by our own works: Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
How do we get this free gift of salvation? By doing exactly what God says: John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
It is so simple! You must:
A - Admit to God you are sinners
B - Believe that Jesus died for you
C - Call on Him to save you
Boys and girls it is that simple!
Before we dismiss for our fun time, I’m going to pray and ask a question and give you a chance to talk with someone. When the prayer is finished you will be dismissed to fun time, Let’s pray...
One question before we dismiss: Is there anyone, boy, girl, mom, or dad, that would like to talk with me or another adult about how to know Jesus as your Savior? If you will raise your hand an adult will come and tap you on the shoulder and talk with you about this. Is their anyone tonight?
