Everlasting

Psalm 90

This Psalm is one of my favorites so I knew I had to do it for this weeks episode. This is a Psalm of Moses and begins book 4 of the Psalms. In it there is a statement that I think it is helpful for us to meditate on for a short time today. It is “from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” The Psalms carry so many truths about God in them and there is so much beauty in them. A few weeks back we were reminded to be still and know that he is God, tonight we are reminded that he is from everlasting to everlasting.

This is a simple statement that Moses makes here in this Psalm but it is a profound one. God always was, always is, and will always be. He is always the true God from before time began to after time ends. Everything that he is never changes through his eternality.

This makes God bigger than we could ever dream and deeper than we could ever fathom. There are so many incomprehensibilities with God and we are to just sit in awe and wonder of them all.
