‌The Mind Wall- building a wall of protection in your mind
Repentance- Matthew 4:17 (NKJV) 17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Repent-to change ones life, based on a complete change of attitude and thinking concerning sin and righteousness- To think differently - To Change how you think
‌NKJV Ro 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Conformed Mind- Your Mind has Been Conditioned To Conform How The World Thinks . Conforms to the patterns and behaviour of the world around it. With all its fears, anxieties, greed and self centred.
A Transformed- Renewed Mind Doesnt Conform to The World
The Transformed Mind - is a mind that doesn’t conform- follow- copy or is influenced by the thinking of the world around it. It has walls built in it that have clear defined boundaries based on what Gods Word says. It conforms to the Kingdom of Heaven.
‌ NKJV 2 Ti 1:7. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
‌Sound- Self Disciplined
Walls Need Material- The Word of God- Jesus
The Material -Gods Word Built The Universe-
No Material- No Wall- You Must Learn Gods Word
Example - ---Worry -Anxiety----
God Knows Our Problem with Anxiety -Matthew 6:31–32 (NKJV) 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
God Knows What you Need
Philippians 4:6–7 (NIV) 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.‌
Material For Your Wall-
Prayer- Talk to God
Petition- Request, ask for help
Thanksgiving- being grateful, expressions of thanks as an act of worship.
Proverbs 24:30–34 (NKJV)30 I went by the field of the lazy man, And by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding; 31 And there it was, all overgrown with thorns; Its surface was covered with nettles; Its stone wall was broken down. 32 When I saw it, I considered it well; I looked on it and received instruction: 33 A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest; 34 So shall your poverty come like a prowler, And your need like an armed man. Feild of The Lazy-
Vineyard of Man Devoid of Understanding-
Two Types of Weakness but Same Outcome
Both With Potential
Same Outcome - No Fruit- Produce
Thorns, nettles, Broken Wall
A picture of someone who has before them tremdous opportunity but because they were lazy or lacked understanding it is never reached. ‌
Pulling Down The Enemies Stronghold- Things that have a strong hold of your mind.
The New King James Version 2 Co 10:3–5. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
‌War- Soldier fighting in a battle
Weapons- Tools, Armour to fight the enemy
Warfare- engage in war, fight
Pulling Down- demolish, destroy
Strongholds- walls, fortresses the enemy has built
Something That has a Strong Hold on you
‌Illustration- Im Useless- Your not useless you just have to change your thinking
Arguments- False Reasoning- Logic and Reasoning that takes place in the mind and imagination
- an exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one.
Two Opinions That exist in Your mind- Gods v Natural, Carnal
If you arent a christian or have very little of Gods Word in you the loudest or strongest opinion will be from the carnel man.
Illustration- This morning I woke to discouragement and wieryness
