Intro

Good morning Church. My name is Pastor Tim Rauser, I am one the Associate Pastors here.
We are in our second week of our Summer series, looking at the well known Galatians 5 passage, the fruit of the spirit
This week we are looking at the second fruit of the Spirit… JOY
After defining JOY, I asked my Kids… What brings you Joy?
Chara - calm, delight. gladness
Luke 15:7 “Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
Joy of my salvation
Restore unto me the joy of my salvation Ps. 51:10-13 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.” “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
Jn 3:29 “The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.”
Paul expressed frequently the joy he had regarding the salvation of those he was writing to and prayed that they might be full of joy.
