(start in prayer)
Alright kids, we’ve been learning a lot about life applications and how to handle certain things. Please enlighten the rest of the class, what are some things we have learned recently??
What so we call those things if they get out of hand? What do they become? ( sin)
Bingo! So, what is sin then?
Who has sin in them?
what happens if we let sin over take us?
today, we will demonstrate what its like to be full of sin and without God.
have 3 tall vases. 1 titled “Me” filled with water, give the kids cotton balls and have them try to throw them in the vase or blind fold them and have them try to stick it in there
All these cotton balls are the things we do in life. We disobey our parents, we get angry at people, we call each other names, we lie, we steal, we get jealous, we hate others, we say mean things, we push the kid on the swing set off and laugh at them.
Then, present the sin vase filled with iodine. Pour some in the me vase.
This is us. Take a good long look. All the ugliness in within us because of continually sinning, being without God, and not repenting or trying to do better. Would you drink that? Would you take a shower with that?
Present Jesus (bleach)
Kids, this is Jesus. Again, who is Jesus? What did he do? okay, watch this…
Clears ugly
Tada! Washed clean. Why is that?
Because the blood of Jesus has washed us clean, and if we ask for forgiveness for our sins, think before we act, and try to do better, he will forgive us!! Without Jesus, we look like this…but with Jesus in our hearts, we are clear again!!
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Game - Target the sin, knock it out.

Take cardboard, make a big target, label it “sin”
fill water balloons, some with water, some with shaving cream. have each take turns shoot the bucket labeled “ Jesus saves” On it.
