if God were to write a prayer for you, it would be the perfect prayer because
He would know what He is willing to do
He would know what He is planning to do
He would know what you really need
He would know what is best for you
He would not leave out any important thing
He would know the best blessings for you
God has written a prayer for you
Numbers 6:22–23 KJV 1900
22 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,
God told Moses, tell the priest to say this prayer over my people, it will be a blessing to them
God is saying, tell them to say this . . . tell them to pray this
This is what I want to do for the children of Israel, my people
And God says of himself, I change not
If he wanted to do THESE THINGS for his people back then, He wants to do THESE THINGS for his people today
We are about to see what God wants to do for you. God has literally given a note to Moses and said, “Have the priest pray for these things”
Now let’s look at what would happen if God wrote a prayer
Numbers 6:24 NLT
24 ‘May the Lord bless you and protect you.
it starts off with “The Lord bless thee”
God would write a prayer that went straight to the source, the Lord
The Lord is the source of all things, everything else is a resource
In other words, everything starts with God, everything comes from God
I got the corn from Wal-Mart, but Wal-Mart got it from the truck driver, who got it from the processing plant, who got it from another truck driver, who got it from a train, who got it from the farmer, who got it from the seed and the ground that God made.
God is the source, and everyone else resourced it
if you receive a paycheck, those funds originated with God, they have just been resourced several times through several people, and made it to your hands.
And When God wrote this prayer, God said, let’s skip the all of the resources, and go straight to the source . . .May the Lord bless you
And when you are connected to the source, it doesn’t matter if a resource lets you down, if a resource doesn’t come through, or if a resource runs out . . . because you are still connected to THE SOURCE
So God says, when you pray, look for me to bless you
you got a good job, but may the lord bless you
you got a caring family, but may the lord bless you
you got a loving church, but may the lord bless you
and protect you
God says that If were to write a prayer for you, I would ask for personal protection . . . May the Lord protect you, keep you
you should want the Lord to sustain, preserve, and protect you
you may have an alarm on the house but may the Lord keep thee
you might carry a fire arm, but may the Lord keep thee
you might exercise and have a healthy diet, but may the Lord keep thee
God I want you to do it, I’m going to put myself in your hands
some things an alarm and fire arm can’t stop
some diseases a healthy lifestyle can’t prevent
I want the Lord to be my keeper
Numbers 6:25 NLT
25 May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.
what does, “The Lord make his face shine on you” mean?
a true smile is a sign of acceptance, I want you in my presence, you are welcome in my presence
Think of Queen Esther approaching the king, when he saw her, he smiled and offered her anything she wanted
God says, you should pray that I always accept you
Every upset with your kids, and tell them to go away right now, I don’t even want to hear it
and be gracious to you
God says, you should pray that you get things you receive blessings you don’t deserve
Numbers 6:26 NLT
26 May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’
May the Lord show you his favor
favor transfers
that’s why people treat the boss’ daughter nice
and give you his peace
How much peace does God have?
Does God ever worry, fret, get anxious, feel nervous?
Numbers 6:27 NASB95
27 “So they shall invoke My name on the sons of Israel, and I then will bless them.”
remember the prayer, the words are not the source, I am
