Thanos kept telling them that he was going to whips 50 percent the universe’s population. He laid his plan out but honestly I’m not sure the hero could even comprehend what that would even look. They honestly didn’t even take him seriously it was too late.
Question: I wonder how many times God has promised me something and I’ve either lost hope or at some-point gave up. Or didn’t belive that he was to follow on that promise.
What are some of the reasons we lose heart
We we’ve been waiting for long time
I see people around me getting what you told me I’d have
This will be faster if I do it on my own
sometimes his timeline dosent line up with time line we set for ourselves.
Transition: Something ive learned is that His timeline will usually never perfectly line up with ours
Me
God Planted this moment in my heart when i was 11
i wish i could sit up here and tell you that i did everything in my power to take care of that vision
i was rachect
Ashley with tears in her eyes said i love you but your probally going to hell . it was in that moment the holy spirit convicted me , because i realzied that i was saying es to jesus with my mouth only. i wasnt honoring him with my thoughts, my choices , my purity and in the season of life that when i made the choices that jesus you arent just going to be my get out of hell card. i need you to be not just my saviour but i need you to be my lord. and whatever purpose and plan you have for me ill dot it.

God is faithful to his promises even when we aren’t to ours .

Isaiah Chapter 55:11
so shall be my word that goes out from my mouth. It shall not return to me without success, but shall accomplish what I desire and be successful in the thing for which I sent it.
what he has decreed and declared over your life will happened, its a promise
Transition : He is a Man of His Word we see this in scripture with David.
David Get Anointed to be king
2 Samuel 16:11-13
Then Samuel said to Jesse, “⌊Are all the young men here⌋?” And he said, “The youngest still remains, but look, he is shepherding the flock.” And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him, for we cannot ⌊sit down⌋ until he comes here.” 12 So he sent and brought him. Now he was ruddy with beautiful eyes and of ⌊handsome⌋ appearance. And Yahweh said, “Arise, anoint him, for this is he.” 13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. Then the Spirit of Yahweh rushed upon David from that day ⌊on⌋.....
Right aftere this david
God anoints David to be king but it take him , victory’s , embracing losses.
David has to serve someone else’s purpose Saul never called called him.
Lead people
Follow a person who has what God told you that you would have
David ultimately became the king after 15 years
One of greatest lessons we can learn from Davids life is how to wait on the Lord , a good posture we should have as we wait

ex of the ps5

Psalm 27:14 (ESV): Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Transition:In the middle of Davids waiting there was obedient ,transparent and he trusted God.
David was obedient while he waited
He stayed is in Saul's army
followed his rules
When the king lost his mind and lead a regional man hunt for him his still obeyed God will to not harm even though he could have easily.

David Obedience didn't have conditions

sometimes we struggle with that
God ill serve you when? Spouse, Raise, Give, Heal
Some of the greatest break through ive seen is when people regardless if you ever......I say yes

David Was Transparent While He Waited

in the bible you see all these moments where David is open and honest about how he feels
he expresses, love gratitude, thanksgiving along with rage and violence
Alota times we act like or feelings might offend God. like the questions and the fears we have , the doubts, disappoints are too much to handle.
Bring your cares and concern cast those care upon him because his care for us.
God is the only one who has the capacity to hold the things we care about.

David Trusted God and His Promises

I believe the reason why he was able to trust god was because he was constantly recalling and remember the goodness of God that he had experienced.

what would it take for us in the middle of our waiting to recall the goodness to the drown out the doubt.
Main Point: Take God at his Word
Numbers 23:19 (ESV): God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
At a certain point in my walk i got to the point where i said either all of the bible is true or none of it is either your a man of your word or your liar.
But when i check his track record
Trust His Promises are still good regardless of how we feel.
Transition: This is why i wanted this to be the first message i preached because i want us to be a church who will will choose to take God at his word
one that will believe his promises for us regardless of how things might look.
people who will not let their exspreices define the bible , but let the bible define their experiences.
speak truth even the midst chaos
Regardless of how we might feel, or do < God is still faith to his promises.
