Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. For by this our ancestors were approved.
But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and are saved.
Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. For by this our ancestors were approved.
True faith is never found alone; it is always accompanied by expectation. The man who believes the promises of God expects to see them fulfilled. Where there is no expectation, there is no faith.

the nature and influence of faith in God.
Faith- is the reality by with we live, walk and speak-
Here the word means “confident expectation”; and this is so real that the man of faith acts as if he already had what he hoped for11 Barlow, George, and Robert Tuck. 1892. I & II Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James. The Preacher’s Complete Homiletic Commentary. New York; London; Toronto: Funk & Wagnalls Company.
Things only hoped for have no current reality to us- They gain practical reality in the faith that grasps them
Faith that grasps what is hoped for gives the present enjoyment of the things hoped for
Faith is the proof- The evidence for (usually based on augment of discussion)
Proof- Evidence- The Demonstration - The true and essential nature of faith is confidence in God, belief in His declarations.” Faith here is the principle of pious and virtuous belief and action.11 Barlow, George, and Robert Tuck. 1892. The Fruit of Faith is - obedience and action or Obedience in Action
We are called to
Heb10:39 - Have faith- Faith is assurance of God and the Promises of God (Hebrews 11:1; Heb 11:6)
Heb 11:1 - we walk by faith, we believe in faith, we speak faith- Faith is complete trust and reliance on God and His promises.
“If God said it then it is yes and amen,” No-one can change my mind
“Let God be true and everyman a liar.”
Heb 11:2- Faith is a life that is vouched for by God- it is approved and has the evidence of faith through the actions of the believers- “By Faith”- Heb 11:3
The fruit of Faith is obedience and actions
By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and set out for a place that he was going to receive as an inheritance. He went out, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he stayed as a foreigner in the land of promise, living in tents as did Isaac and Jacob, coheirs of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
Through Faith we get the Power to accomplish the will of God, and receive the promise of God
By faith even Sarah herself, when she was unable to have children, received power to conceive offspring, even though she was past the age, since she considered that the one who had promised was faithful.
