In our study last week we began with a brief overview of all the pillars. We then turned our focus to the four pillars that made up "The Gate” of the Tabernacle. The only way that access was permitted into the court was through this gate. (Jesus is this gate/door in which all must enter.) We looked at the four Gospel accounts and how they showed the fourfold-sonship of our Lord. He is the Son of Abraham, the Son of David, the Son of man, and the Son of God. To take away anyone of these fourfold truths is to remove all four.
In our study this week we will look at the pillars that made up the door to the tabernacle itself as well as the pillars set at the vail.
THE FIVE PILLARS OF THE DOOR OF THE TABERNACLE: Exodus 36:37-38
As we consider the pillar again today, I would like to remind us of its makeup. The pillars were made of shittim wood (considered an incorruptible wood) and they were then overlaid with gold. Again, we see a picture of both the Lord’s deity, and His humanity. In our lesson last week we see that as well, Son of David (humanity) Son of God (deity). We will continue to see it in our study today.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: And the government shall be upon his shoulder: And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Our entire Bible is amazing, look at what we see here in this Old Testament prophecy concerning our Lord! “For unto us a “child” is born (humanity), unto us a son is given: (deity)”
In this prophetic announcements of His birth, God revealed to us ___________ names of our Lord Jesus.

Councellor
The Mighty God
The Everlasting Father
The Prince of Peace
If we could consider it this way for a moment.
THE FOUR PILLARS OF THE VAIL: Exodus
Our major focus in today’s study is going to be on the four pillars that make up the vail.
Differing from the pillars at the entrance to the Tabernacle itself in that there is only four and not five, but also we notice that these pillars had to chapiter on the top.
This was a very noticeable difference from the pillars at the entrance into the Holy Place. The pillars in which the vail hung had by cut off and did not have the statement chapiter.
The picture we have here is spoken of by the prophet Isaiah.
Isaiah 53:4 KJV 1900
Surely he hath borne our griefs, And carried our sorrows: Yet we did esteem him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.
Because He was slain, and sacrificed (cut off), on behalf of all who would offer Him by faith as a sacrifice for their sins, and claim Him as their substitute under the judgment that is due to them. He is like four golden pillars that uphold and sustain them in the sight and presence of God.
1 Corinthians 1:30 KJV 1900
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
In Him we are made wise unto salvation. ( We are able to see what the natural man cannot comprehend and find in Him the wisdom we need to walk as sons of God in the midst of a “crooked and perverse generation.)
He is our Righteousness. (On the cross He was obedient unto the death which the righteousness of God demanded of us. When we believed upon Him for salvation. His obedience was transferred to our account. In Him we met and paid all we owed to justice. We became totally, entirely, and legally at once RIGHTEOUS!)
He is our Sanctification. (The moment we were saved, we were made at peace with God. Lacking nothing, we became acceptable in the sight and presence of the Lord!
1 Corinthians 6:9–11 KJV 1900
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
He is our Redemption. (His presence in Heaven as the Risen One is witness. He paid in full the dept against us, and is there our living receipt, our guarantee against any charge that old deceiver wants to throw on our account…

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Closing: Although each set of pillars are a type unto themselves, they are also so perfectly bound together. After you recieved Christ as your Saviour. Hopefully through reading the word of God, and discipleship. You began to see that God had more for you than just salvation. That the promises of God were deeper and more intimate that you every imagined. Seeing that God wanted you to know Him, to walk with Him, the filled by Him and to glorify Him.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Three sets of pillars… Each representing a different level of access to God through Him!
The way (Gate)
The truth (We know God through the manifestation of the Word of God.)
The life (Our life is hid in Christ!)
