INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
Today we have set this time aside to give honor to God by honoring two people He has given to this church as a gift.
Tony and Cindy Sutake.
Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.
Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.
THE BIBLE IS CLEAR WE ARE TO BE A PEOPLE WHO SHOW HONOR.
THE BIBLE IS CLEAR WE ARE TO BE A PEOPLE WHO SHOW HONOR.
But what are the characteristics of those who deserve our honor?
WE HONOR THOSE WHO IN LIFE HAVE GIVEN HONOR TO THE LORD.
WE HONOR THOSE WHO IN LIFE HAVE GIVEN HONOR TO THE LORD.
Honor the Lord from your wealth
And from the first of all your produce;
Tony and Cindy in times of plenty and in times of lack you have always remained faithful in giving financially to support your church, missionaries, and individuals.
You have showed the Lord honor through your finances.
He who oppresses the poor taunts his Maker,
But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him.
Not only have you honored the Lord through financial giving but, you have honored Him in how you have taken care of foster children.
Through Your Voice and Your life
You have honored the Lord through serving in worship for many, many years.
You have given your time, your skills, your money, and your heart in honoring the Lord.
You have given your time, your skills, your money, and your heart in honoring the Lord.
For that we Honor You!
--------------------------------------------------------
The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom,
And before honor comes humility.
A man’s pride will bring him low,
But a humble spirit will obtain honor.
You both have lived in humility - never pushing your way forward, making yourself to be more than you are, and always humbly preferring others above yourselves.
For Your humility - We honor you!
For Your humility - We honor you!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Keeping away from strife is an honor for a man,
But any fool will quarrel.
This characteristic sets you apart. Tony and Cindy, I have known you for over 10 years and in that time, I have never seen you fight with another church member.
I have never heard you talk poorly about another - Truthfully, for sure but you always follow hard truth with graciousness.
For Your Grace - We Honor You
For Your Grace - We Honor You
------------------------------------------------------------------
He who pursues righteousness and loyalty
Finds life, righteousness and honor.
I have watched you both pushing and pursing righteousness.
I have seen you both pushing to love some of the most unlivable because you want to love like Jesus.
And though you have personally corrected me, you have never spoken behind my back or defamed me.
You supported me, corrected me, loved me, you both have been loyal friends.
We honor you for your righteousness
We honor you for your righteousness
I honor you for your Loyal friendship.
I honor you for your Loyal friendship.

Last of all
The glory of young men is their strength,
And the honor of old men is their gray hair.
While Tony you have lost all yours, I am sure if you still had some it too would be gray.
And Cindy, I dare not say you have gray hair, but let me say, the snow like color is beautiful.
While this seems funny, I have realized how important older age is to the body of Christ.
This church started with three elders
Today is a sad day because the original 3 will have all officially passed the baton on to a new generation.
Let me say boldly, Cindy and Tony your age is not a weakness, it is a strength. This church has been enriched by your wisdom. A wisdom that can only come through living faithfully over a long period of time.
You have been Pillars, a comfort to this church during rocky and stormy times.
You have been a rock for so many of us.
Today, We Honor you for your wisdom, your steadfastness, your unshaken resilience, grit, determination, and yes your beautiful white hair.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Tony and Cindy - We your brothers and sisters in the Lord, Honor you.

Tony and Cindy - We your brothers and sisters in the Lord, Honor you.
(Ask people to stand and give them a standing ovation).
----------------------------------------------------------------
Have Jacob come up to bless the communion -
As He comes up explain the bread and juice on the tables and how we will take communion with one another at each table.
-------------------------------------------------------------
After communion - Pray over the meal - Have Allandis pray.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Once everyone is seated begin to call speakers up.
Justin and Chelsea,
Allandis and Kayla
Bill and Karen
Steven and Callie
And then have people come up on their own.
