Reconciled

Recap of last week
Romans 5:1–5 CSB
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have also obtained access through him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also boast in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope. This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
“GOD’s love has been poured out in our hearts”
Romans 5:6 CSB
For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly.
Still helpless
Both Jews and Gentiles he says this to.
How where they helpless?
Isaiah 64:6 CSB
All of us have become like something unclean, and all our righteous acts are like a polluted garment; all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind.
Our righteous isn’t enough.
This is the “I am a good person” problem.
Most of the time their 100 percent right but is their righteous the same as JESUS? NO
They are still helpless.
“at the right time”
many times I wonder why He came when HE did.
Would it had been interesting if HE had wanted till now.
How many follower would JESUS have on Instagram and TikTok?
Some of us would use Facebook so we could say we are friends with JESUS.
But all that being send Jesus came at the right time.
“Christ died for the ungodly”
who are the ungodly? LOOK TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT.
This points to verse 5 “GOD’s love has been poured out”
The lair, the prostitute, the murder, the alcoholic, the drug attic, and anyone who is not godly.
This is for every last person.
Romans 5:7 CSB
For rarely will someone die for a just person—though for a good person perhaps someone might even dare to die.
How rare is it to give a life for a life.
We think of our family and we might see a reason to give our life. Because they are important to us!
I think of Soldiers that go and fight on others behalf and some give their life.
Would you give your Heart to someone good knowing you would die? Rarely!
Romans 5:8 CSB
But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Now take all of that good person stuff and though it out the widow.
How does GOD prove HIS love?
He died for sinners not good people.
Romans 5:9–10 CSB
How much more then, since we have now been justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from wrath. For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.
JESUS died for us while we were enemies.
Now that we have be reconciled how much better will our relationship be with Christ.
Romans 5:11 CSB
And not only that, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.
WE boast in the love that GOD has shown to us.
How do you share Jesus with other?
You boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.
This is where I was but GOD!
