General Prayer Request

You began the world as a kingdom of priest creating men and women together as your image in the Garden and our sin ruined it, but your grace and mercy redeemed it...
The church, your people, are a new creation and we are being conformed to the image of your son through everything that we experience in our lives whether we know it or not, you are at work in our lives and in the world building your church and your kingdom.
The vision of this church is to be an instrument in your hands for your glory in loving the Rio Grande Valley with your love by sharing your grace in the gospel of Jesus to make disciples of Jesus.
Help us all in our discipleship. Help us to grow. Help us to be in our Bibles. Help us to obey them. Help us to put our hope in what the Scriptures say to hope in and not the things of this world.
Help us to not be conformed to the world and show ourselves to be disciples of patterns of sinful thinking and doing that the world displays. Help us, rather, to be better and growing disciples of Jesus with the courage to love him in the midst of a world that hold out other lovers in its temptations.
As part of the efforts to expand your kingdom to every square inch, bless the Craigs in their work with Summer Teams in Mexico. Be with all those who serve and those who are served as well that they might see the love of Christ in those who serve.
Be with Pastor Gama today as he preaches at Dios Con Nosotros this evening. Please be with that church as they struggle through some things and we pray that DCN would emerge pruned and be fruitful in the kingdom.

HEALTH

We pray also for the health of those in your kingdom.
We pray for:
Victor Martinez
Jose Martinez
Sofia Aleman and her emotional and mental health (indeed for us all as sin and its effects deter all of us from being who you created and designed for us to be a humanity in your image)
Dan Young, thank you for all that you have done with him and Becky as Dan deals with Parkinson’s. We do not know why one thing happens to one and not another, but our ultimate hope is grounded in the resurrection of Jesus and the glorified body that we will receive when he returns. Sickness and disease remind us that this life is not our ultimate hope, yet suffering is undeniably real. Be with Dan and Becky as they discern how best to serve you in your kingdom through their health issues.
Be with everyone dealing with sicknesses. Be with Rob Fry as he struggles through health issues and with Phoebe as well as she struggles with him and for him.

MARRIAGES

Finally, be with our marriages. Marriage is an image of the Gospel, an image of our union with Christ, of the love of Christ for his bride. Protect our marriages. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Help us to practice gospel skills like forgiveness in our marriages. Help us to practice mutual submission as Eph. 5:21 tells us. Help us men to lead humbly and gently and in heavy handed ways. Help us to lead our families courageously in these times. Bless our children and let them know that they are blessed in their obedience to you through the authority that you have placed them under.
